The Creation And Singing Of Gounod’s Songs

Charles Francois Gounod(1818-1893),a French composer,was a representative figure of the Romanticism period.He devoted himself to music creation in his life and composed 12 operas,3symphonies and more than 200 art songs.He made considerable achievements in the field of art songs.This paper selects two of his representative secular art songs "Venice" and "Song of Spring".At the same time,based on his own learning and singing experience,combined with the composer’s creation characteristics and the artistic characteristics of French art songs,from the perspective of music,singing skills analysis and interpretation,further discussion and learning.
