In recent years,phonological awareness has gradually become a hot topic in the research field of second language acquisition.Since phonological awareness is an important psychological factor that affects reading,more attention has been paid to the study of phonological awareness and reading.At present,there are many researches on the phonological awareness and Chinese reading of second language learners at the primary Chinese level,and relatively few researches on intermediate Chinese level learners.In view of this,this study,based on the previous research results,takes the dual channel theory and connectionist model as the theoretical support,and uses research methods such as experiment,observation interview and statistical analysis to measure the phonological awareness of 18 Foreign Students in the intermediate class of Yiwu vocational and Technical College of industry and Commerce,and analyzes the relationship between their phonological awareness and the accuracy of Chinese word reading.The article consists of seven parts: introduction,theoretical basis,visual phonological awareness test,word reading accuracy test,relationship analysis between phonological awareness and Chinese word accuracy,teaching suggestions and conclusion.The most important part is two tests and relationship analysis.Through the visual phonological awareness test,it is found that the second language learners at intermediate Chinese level have a better development of initial consonant awareness and vowel awareness,and have a certain degree of synchronization,and the development of tone awareness is poor.Through the word reading test and correlation analysis,it is found that there is a significant correlation between the phonological awareness of intermediate Chinese level second language learners and Chinese word reading.Phonological awareness can predict the accuracy of Chinese word reading,among which tone awareness can significantly predict the accuracy of Chinese character reading,and Initials awareness and vowels awareness can significantly predict the accuracy of word reading.It is also found that there is a significant correlation between Chinese character reading and word reading,and the accuracy of Chinese character alone is lower than that of Chinese character in words.Based on this,this study puts forward three teaching suggestions: strengthening the training of tone awareness,initials awareness and vowels awareness,enriching students’ phonetic learning situations and paying attention to morpheme teaching.In the last part of the conclusion,the author reflects and summarizes this study.This study studies the relationship between phonological awareness and Chinese reading of intermediate level second language learners with the help of tests,and then draws relevant conclusions through scientific information analysis.On this basis,it also puts forward practical teaching suggestions,which has certain practical significance.It is hoped that this research can provide some help for the teaching of second language learners at intermediate Chinese level,provide reference for the later research on the relationship between phonological awareness and reading,and promote the further development of second language teaching. |
