Degree adverb is a common and special part of speech,although it is subordinate to the adverb,however,due to its own limitations,it is difficult to define and distinguish.There are different usages under different restrictions,which lead to students’ learning is very difficult to get up.At present,although there are many papers on the problems of degree adverbs in teaching,but the research on the arrangement of degree adverbs in teaching materials is still very poor.Therefore,due to the perspective of degree adverbs,this paper compares two sets of pairs.The compilation of adverbs of degree in “Boya Chinese” and “Development of Chinese”,the characteristics of the writing,the specific way and content of the writing are horizontal and vertical analysis.The author analyzes the degree adverbial points of two sets of textbooks from a horizontal perspective.The characteristics of interpretation,texts and exercises.Two sets of teaching are analyzed from the vertical angle.The author compares the number,rank and order of the adverbs of material degree.The analysis refers to “The Syllabus of new Chinese Proficiency Test”.Through horizontal and vertical comparative analysis,we find the advantages and disadvantages of two sets of textbooks in compiling adverbs of degree.Through a large number of data analysis,we put forward some suggestions to improve the arrangement.By comparing the grade of degree adverbs in the two sets of textbooks,we can find that the grade of degree adverbs in the textbooks is basically consistent with the grade of the textbooks,however,there are also some degree adverbs whose grades are not consistent with those in the textbooks.In this respect,the editors need to adjust.Comparing the order of degree adverbs in two sets of textbooks,we can find that the order of degree adverbs in the textbooks is consistent with the order of degree adverbs in “Syllabus of new Chinese Proficiency Test”,however,there are also some degree adverbs that do not conform to the order of the New Syllabus,which also needs to be improved.After a series of comparisons,the author puts forward corresponding suggestions for improvement,such as: enriching the form and language of words explanation,increasing the type and quantity of exercises,increasing the recurrence rate of degree adverbs in the text,increasing the number of degree adverbs in two sets of textbooks,adjusting the order and grade of degree adverbs,etc.By comparing the arrangement of the two sets of textbooks in detail,we can find that the explanation of words in “Boya Chinese”and “Development of Chinese” is not detailed enough,and the way of direct translation is often adopted.In the arrangement of texts,although most of the degree adverbs are reproduced in large numbers,however,there are still some degree adverbs with low repetition rate or even zero repetition rate.When the exercises are arranged,the types and amount of exercises in the two sets of textbooks need to be rich,and the amount of exercises should be increased for the degree adverbs with great learning difficulty.By comparing the number,rank and order of degree adverbs in the two sets of textbooks,we can find that the number of degree adverbs in the two sets of textbooks is different from the number of degree adverbs in the New Syllabus,and the editor should increase the number of degree adverbs in the textbooks. |
