Historic writing is a distinctive feature of Huang Jinshu’s novels. The fiction of history and the reality of fiction are intertwined in his work.Because of the anxiety about identity and ambivalence about "Chineseness",Huang Jinshu hopes to get rid of the influence of "Chineseness" and creates novels as an independent individual. On the one hand, his novels are a literary interpretation of the "prehistory" of Malaysia, which is a reason why it must be written due to the lack of historical materials. On the other hand,he pays attention to the secret history of the Communist Party of Malaysia and others that have been concealed by the government, but not for the purpose of "removing the cover" and presenting the complete truth, but to use his imagination between the gaps in the narratives of various parties. The novel of the Communist Party of Malaysia attempts to reach the dark side and core of revolutionary history. From the perspective of people and family history,Huang Jinshu also imagines his hometown with his old family series of novels. In his novels,Huang Jinshu allows history to be reconstructed in individual narratives. It is mainly reflected in the following three aspects.Firstly,it reflects the uniqueness of Malaysian Chinese literature from the perspective of text in the way of "reverse writing" history. The novel resets the premise of history, and answers the political, ethnic, identity and other aspects of Malaysian Chinese.Secondly, the violence and trauma of the body/history are reproduced in his novels, which reflect Huang Jinshu’s efforts to heal the historical trauma.Thirdly,he trys to weave the spiritual web of history with the narrative technique of repetition and intertextuality. The spirit of historical writing in Huang Jinshu’s novels is also quite recognizable.Usually, dense language rhetoric, madmen as the main images, and violent narratives constitute his carnival "rainforest narrative",and the sense of history behind it is also revealed; The allegorical space narration of Huang Jinshu is an important image of Huang Jinshu’s problems such as dispersion and historical dilemma;in his novels, time often has ambiguous characteristics, time dislocation, jump and cycle, which reflects Huang Jinshu’s inherent time perception.Temporal structure communicates or attempts to embody historical structure in writing. As a novelist,Huang Jinshu cannot avoid writing novels in Chinese. In the process of responding to history,he approached historical consciousness with the writing of desire. The eradication of the impression of the "other" is also where Huang Jinshu’s novels strive to reach.Although he is never in a hurry to declare a historical position,he maintains his efforts to classicize in his writing of history.
