In 1990s,Jan Assmann and Aleida Assmann,a German scholar, put forward the theory of cultural memory on the basis of their predecessors' studies.Subsequently, the theory of cultural memory has flourished in many fields, such as anthropology, literature, sociology, history and so on.After World War ?,the construction of the traumatic memory of the Jewish massacre has different forms of expression in different countries and different periods.Israel,Germany and the United States has long been refused to accept the history of the Holocaust, which separates reality from history. These countries refuse to recognize the traumatic memory of the Jewish massacre regarded as an act of disgrace in its modern civilization and incline to exclude it from its own history. Therefore, when it comes to constructing collective identity,we deliberately choose "forget" about the Holocaust, and think that this traumatic memory is a threat to its legitimacy construction, even driving the deconstruction of its collective identity construction. It was not until the mid-and late 60s that these countries began to gradually recognize that the disgraceful history could also play a significant role in shaping collective identity.Rethinking the traumatic event of the Holocaust through the testimony and evidence of survivors, let the public have a deeper understanding of the Jewish massacre and produce emotional resonance. In the era of mass media, where information technology is developed and all kinds of media are involved in the Holocaust competition, film and television play an important role in constructing Holocaust traumatic memory. With the diversification of media micro platform, the use of intelligent communication technology, the increasing audience's attention can be paid to the Holocaust, and traumatic memory thus can be raised from individual memory level to a common cultural memory. The common traumatic memory of the Holocaust in the world has played a universal role in moral education. There is an extremely complex relationship between a nation and the memory of its massacre. On the one hand, the official bodies clearly shape the memory of theHolocaust in an appropriate way they think, and the memory is served by the collective interests of the nation. On the other hand, once the memory is created,it is endowed with life and is stubbornly resisting the original intention of the country in its own way.In many cases, memory is constructed according to the idea of national identity, but memory is recalled by the new generation in a new environment and is given new meaning. As a result,in the new framework, memory is redefined. The emergence of the theory of cultural memory has attracted wide attention from the historians, and has injected fresh blood into the historical research. In dealing with the issue of the Holocaust memory, the political power mechanism has been gradually weakened, while the mass participation of cultural memory has been gradually increased. The massacre memory has entered into public awareness, forming a collective identity and rising to a global memory.
