The Influence Of Woodcut Prints On The Figure Painting Style Of Chen Hongshou

Woodcut printmaking art reached its peak in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,when Chen Hongshou had been involved in the design of woodcut prints.The design of woodcut prints runs through Chen Hongshou’s artistic career,and his whole life creation is closely related to woodcut prints.This paper with the influence of woodcut prints on Chen Hongshou figure painting as the research content,the Chen Hongshou different periods,different material painting image analysis and comparison,mainly from the commercial attributes,woodcut engraving techniques and folk characteristics of the three aspects to discuss the influence of Chen Hongshou figure painting style formation.In addition,this article is added in individual sections In the same period of woodcut prints on the painter Ding Yunpeng as a circumstantial evidence,in order to prove that the influence of woodcut prints on Chen Hongshou’s figure painting style is true,and is one of the important reasons for the formation of Chen Hongshou’s figure painting style.At the end of this article summarizes the inspiration and thinking of Chen Hongshou’s figure painting style to my figure painting creation.
