Due to the important role that social governance has played in national governance,Feng Shizheng’s Research on Social Governance Thought in the New Era systematically and carefully examines the important speeches about the area given by General Secretary Xi Jinping, the fourth chapter of which,"Social Governance and Social Strata" analyzes the related policies since the founding of China in detail. It not only provides a unique perspective for readers to study concepts and ideas on social governance, but also opens a window for Western readers to understand our governance policies in terms of social strata. When translating external publicity texts,it is necessary to pay more attention to both the political and cultural factors as well as the national image.Facing these difficulties in translation of political texts, the current popular translation theory Eco-translatology provides solutions for the translator. It studies translation activities from an ecological perspective and emphasizes "adaptive selection" and "selective adaption".Translators will consider "three-dimensional transformations" of Eco-translatology,namely linguistic dimension, cultural dimension and communicative dimension, and finally choose a proper translation strategy to maintain the original taste of the text and adapt to the ecology of target language. In the linguistic dimension, the translator adopts translation strategies such as omitted translation, literal translation and free translation to solve the difficulties such as category nouns, abstract expressions, repetition, parallel structures and run-on sentences. In the cultural dimension, the translator chooses substitution, omitted translation and free translation to solve the difficulties such as idioms rooted in Chinese traditional culture and metaphors with Chinese characteristics. In the communicative dimension, the translator tries her best to make political terms and political expressions clear,so that instead of maintaining confusing concepts to Western readers, the translation can accurately convey the political connotation of the original text, tell China’s stories and convey China’s voice.
