| In science fiction or modern science fiction films, cyberpunk is often described as a fringe group in a high-tech context. The term is composed of the prefix "Cybernetics" and the culture "Punk",which was born in the mid-1970s.Cybernetics refers to the science of the control and communication within or between living beings, machines, and organizations. The word comes from the Greek κνερνητζ,meaning "helmman" and translated to "the art of managing people".Whether it is the familiar "Turing test" or the manufacture of automatic radar by Norbert Wiener, the founder of cybernetics, the theoretical hypothesis derived from cybernetics,as the imaginative support of the creators of cyberpunk literary works, can also become the theoretical interpretation of the works researchers. In the process of the rapid development of biotechnology and information technology, technology has reshaped human body form and function, and the technology-centered posthuman era has arrived. This paper combs the theoretical premise and track of the study of post-human body by Descartes’ mind-body dualism, cybernetic mind-body concept and liberal humanistic thought.Posthumanism looks at the expansion of human function and the reconstruction of human image from the perspective of brave exploration. The breaking of the boundary of human subject is an opportunity to expand the boundary of self.In the process of moving towards posthumanism, human beings will re-understand themselves and construct a new concept of subject.Cyberpunk film is a form of artistic expression that combines technological imagination with philosophical thinking. This paper expounds the transformation and reconstruction of body concept in the technology-centered era by analyzing the interactive construction of body and technology, the relationship between memory and identity, and the transcendental imagination brought about by the disappearance of boundaries. This study believes that the core theme of cyberpunk movies is the invasion and abandonment of the body by technology. From the rebellious significance of the punk body in cyberpunk movies, the metaphor of cyberspace and the relationship between new space and power,it can be seen that in the near future society dominated by technology, the body will be commoditized, life will be otherized, and human’s subject status will change.Cyberpunk films are deconstructive expressions of dystopia in nature, requiring a re-examination of technological ethics and philosophy, providing a way to imagine and reflect on post-human,rethinking human body boundaries and subject status, and showing the importance of preserving embodied bodies in the process of human becoming post-human. |
