| People around the world are experiencing a public health crisis as the COVID-19 pandemic rages and spreads across the globe.In order to effectively control and prevent from the spread of the pandemic,Chinese Ministry of Education launched an initiative entitled School’s Out,But Class’s On,requiring the implementation of online teaching in schools during the pandemic.To be more specific,it is a special online teaching called Emergency Remote Teaching.In this context,Emergency Remote Teaching,has played as the leading role in education system.This study aims to probe into the influencing factor of students’ learning satisfaction and then improve the teaching and learning efficiency during the period of online teaching.Based on the analysis of relevant literature at home and abroad,this study proposes three evaluation indicators of online course learning satisfaction:teacher role satisfaction,platform support satisfaction,and learning effect satisfaction.In addition,it compares online foreign language course learning satisfaction with offline foreign language course satisfaction at three levels,namely,course,task and interaction.Finally,this study assumes four factors affecting online foreign language course learning satisfaction:characteristics of students,characteristics of teacher,characteristics of course,and platform and external support,which are subdivided into 15 sub-items.On this basis,the participants of this study are the 184 students of Grade 2 in one of the senior high schools in Suzhou.In addition,the quantitative and qualitative research methods are adopted to understand the current situation of online foreign language course learning satisfaction of senior high school students and its influencing factors under the implement of Emergency Remote Teaching.At the same time,correlation,regression analysis and weight analysis are used to draw the following conclusions:except students’learning motivation,teachers’ pre-class preparation and teachers’ teaching enthusiasm,the other 12 factors all affect senior high school students’ online foreign language course learning satisfaction.The influence from large to small is characteristics of students,platform and external support,characteristics of teacher,characteristics of course.Therefore,this study believes that the bases of improving the learning satisfaction of online courses are to optimize the design of courses and platforms,to provide self-management ability and to change the role of teachers. |
