According to the Standard of Middle School students’ Mental health,in the fast-paced life,whether students can maintain a good state of adaptation is one of the standards to measure their mental health.Students in high school have uneven physical and mental development characteristics,long school time,fast pace of school life,facing parents’ expectations,have great pressure,especially in recent years,high school students’ school adaptation problems emerge in an endless stream,their school adaptation affects individual physical and mental health development and later social adaptation ability.Students in the same school may show different adaptive states.As to why,ecosystem theory emphasizes that the development and change of individuals are not only affected by environmental factors,but also influenced by individual factors.Therefore,it is of great significance to consider the influence of environment and individual factors on students’ school adaptation.High school students grow up in school.Teachers,as one of the important others in the school environment,have a greater influence on high school students than their parents and peers.In particular,teachers’ independent support has an important impact on students’ school adaptation.Starting from the students’ perception of teachers’ independent support,this study examines the internal mechanism of teachers’ independent support on high school students’ school adjustment,and proposes corresponding educational countermeasures according to the research results,so as to help high school students smoothly adapt to school.In this study,854 students from four high schools in Jinan City and Yantai City of Shandong Province were psychologically measured using the questionnaire of Teacher Autonomy Support,the Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction Scale,the Core Self-assessment Scale and the School Adjustment Questionnaire.SPSS23.0,Process plug-in and AMOS21.0 were used to conduct independent sample t test,one-way analysis of variance,correlation analysis,regression analysis and mediation effect test on the data,and the following research results were obtained:(1)Teachers’ independent support,basic psychological needs satisfaction,core self-evaluation and school adaptation perceived by high school students are generally good.And the four have significant differences in class cadre position and performance.(2)High school students’ perceived teacher autonomy support,satisfaction of basic psychological needs and core self-evaluation were significantly positively correlated with school adjustment,and teacher autonomy support positively predicted high school students’ school adjustment.(3)The satisfaction of high school students’ basic psychological needs plays a partial mediating role between teachers’ autonomous support and school adaptation.(4)The core self-evaluation of high school students plays a partial mediating role between teacher autonomy support and school adaptation.(5)The satisfaction of basic psychological needs and core self-evaluation of high school students play a chain mediating role between teachers’ autonomy support and school adaptation.According to the research results,this study puts forward the corresponding educational countermeasures:(1)Teachers give support to students to improve the adaptation level of high school students.(2)Meet the basic psychological needs of high school students and improve their school adaptation level.(3)Enhance high school students’ self-evaluation and improve students’ school adaptation level.(4)Pay attention to the mental health development of high school students and improve their school adaptation level. |
