The terra-cotta tomb is one of the important funerary objects in Tang Dynasty tombs,and also an important part of ancient Chinese sculptures.In this paper,the Tang Dynasty tomb warriors in Ningxia are taken as the research object.Firstly,the excavation situation of the tomb warriors in Guyuan,Wuzhong,Yinchuan and nearby areas is sorted out.Secondly,according to the unearthed situation and the classification method of the academic circle,the tomb terracotta is divided into god terracotta,guard terracotta,animal terracotta and child terracotta,and the four types of plastic art style characteristics of the tomb terracotta in Ningxia Tang Dynasty are discussed in detail.The terra-cotta warriors of the Tang Dynasty tomb in Ningxia are mainly made of pottery,but few are made of wood and stone,but they are beautiful in shape and exquisite in workmanship.Secondly,the production technology of the terra-cotta warriors of the Tang Dynasty tomb in Ningxia is briefly summarized.Then from the details of the study of the tomb warriors related to the specific problems.First,the name of the terra-cotta figure unearthed in the tomb was researched.Second,when sorting out the unearthed general situation in Wuzhong area,it was found that a large number of tower-type POTS were buried with exquisite animal face patterns on their bodies.Therefore,this paper conducted a classification study on the tower-type POTS unearthed in Wuzhong area,and discussed the correlation between the tower-type POTS and the tomb figures and their practical uses.Thirdly,the "Silk Road",which attracted worldwide attention,became the only important way for China to enter Central Asia and West Asia from the Han Dynasty.With the enhancement of foreign exchanges in the Tang Dynasty,the significance of southern Ningxia to the"Silk Road" became more and more prominent.The costume of the terra-cotta Hu as the burial articles in the Tang Dynasty is also very characteristic.Fourth,summarize the function of the tomb warriors in the Tang Dynasty in Ningxia from a macro perspective.Finally,it discusses the rich information of political rites,folk beliefs and cultural exchanges carried by the terra-cotta figures.The terra-cotta warriors were the main body of the early Chinese figure sculptures,and the terra-cotta warriors could reflect the social customs at that time to some extent.Therefore,it is of great historical and practical significance to study the terra-cotta warriors of the Tang Dynasty in Ningxia.
