High-temperature calcium glazed pottery is a kind of transitional product with hightemperature firing and surface glazing that appeared before mature celadon, and from the available archaeological excavation data, its distribution range is mainly in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and it has been found from the early Western Han Dynasty to the middle and late Eastern Han Dynasty, and most of it is unearthed in tombs.Through trade, population migration and marriage,high-temperature calcium glazed pottery, which was originally produced in the south, was also found in the vast areas north of the Yangtze River. In this paper,we analyze and discuss the regional characteristics of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery and other related issues in Shandong based on typological research, taking the high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery excavated from Han tombs in the region as the object of study. The whole paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction.Firstly, the background and significance of the study of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery excavated in Shandong are clarified, the concept and spatial and temporal scope of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery are defined, the excavation of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery in Shandong is briefly introduced, the research history of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery in the northern region is reviewed, and the research ideas and research methods of this paper are elaborated, mainly adopting the archaeological typology and cultural factors analysis. The second chapter is a typological study. This part divides the high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery excavated in Shandong into five phases through the typological analysis of pots, ampoules and jars. The high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery in Shandong has gradually increased since the middle of the Western Han Dynasty and reached its peak in the late Western Han Dynasty, then gradually declined after the Xin Mang and recovered in the middle and late Eastern Han Dynasty. The third chapter is a study of regional characteristics. This section first analyzes the assemblage of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery wares excavated in Shandong, and on the basis of the staging in Chapter 2,the assemblage of wares is analyzed according to the staging, summarizing the assemblage relationship and development characteristics of each stage. The second section is a dynamic examination of the high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery excavated in Shandong according to regional differences, discussing the expansion and contraction of the distribution area of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery from both vertical and horizontal aspects, and the center of gravity of the spatial distribution of hightemperature calcium-glazed pottery in Shandong shows the characteristics of the Western Han in the east and the Eastern Han in the west, and this change should be related to the development of geography and warfare as well as the power of landowners and powerful people. The last section examines the user classes of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery, which is mostly found in middle and high-grade tombs. The fourth chapter is a discussion of related issues.Firstly, the ways and means by which the southern type of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery entered the Shandong area are discussed, including both inland transportation and sea transportation.Secondly, the influence of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery on the production of local pottery in Shandong is discussed, and a classification is made according to the degree of integration of high-temperature calcium-glazed pottery with local traditional pottery."It is assumed that before the Eastern Han Dynasty, the origin of "imitation" wares in Shandong was in the area of Qingdao and Rizhao, and in the middle and late Eastern Han Dynasty, the regional production center of "imitation" wares shifted to the area of Zaozhuang and Jining. The fifth chapter is the concluding remarks. The main gains of this paper and the shortcomings of this paper are summarized. |
