Throughout Olivier Messiaen creative career,his music works show a strong religious color and love of nature.Messiaen also explained the importance of "color" for many times in his works.Messiaen can strongly and intuitively feel the color of sound.He formed a unique "color theory" through the very subjective synaesthesia transformation of hearing and vision,and created a very new music language system to express color through music.《The Warbler in the Garden》 is a piano work of Messiaen’s late creation,and he also mentioned in his letters: "Compared with 《the Bird Song Collection》,《The Warbler in the Garden》 may be more artistic." 《The Warbler in the Garden》,in the order of time line,depicts the color of the lake in the spiritual home of Messiaen,Mount Dophine,to reflect the changes of the sky.Messiaen’s himself has written a lot of works on self interpretation of the creation system.Based on these valuable materials and on the premise of the pitch organization,this paper deeply analyzes the bird songs and color chords in 《The Warbler in the Garden 》.The author tries to understand the color changes in 《 The Warbler in the Garden》 and reveal its unique color theory through the profile of the music text."Decode" Messiaen’s colorful music world.Deepen and expand the cognition and understanding of Messiaen’s creative techniques and ideas.
