Benjamin Britten,a great composer in the history of modern English music,wrote a wide range of works,including concertos,quartets,symphonies,soloists,children’s operas and so on.Among his many works,the creation of unaccompanied cello suite is very novel.Through watching a performance of Shostakovich,he got to know Rostropovich(former Soviet cellist),and gave him a lot of creative inspiration and inspiration.With Rostropovich’s help,he completed five cello works,which took him to a whole new field.This paper takes Britten’s Cello Unaccompanied Suite No.2 0p.80 as the research object,and analyzes the performance skills and techniques of the work,explores the expression style of music through literature review and my own performance practice,so as to better interpret this work,and hopes to provide some help for later players in performance through my research.
