With the development of Chinese language teaching,more and more people choose to be a Chinese language teacher.With the development of Chinese language teaching,more and more people choose to be a Chinese language teacher.However,a qualified Chinese language teacher needs not only professional knowledge and skills,but also a lot of teaching practice.For the masters of international education in Chinese who are still studying,most of them are novice teachers and lack of teaching experience.In the era of epidemic,we are also facing with the challenge of online Chinese teaching.Under the background of the epidemic,this paper takes the teaching practice of a novice teacher in online Chinese tutoring at the University of Hawaii as the research object,observes the novice teacher’s teaching in three stages,namely,the first,the fourth and the tenth,and selects the most representative lesson in each period,namely,the classroom introduction,the teacher’s language,and the teacher-student interaction Classroom feedback and classroom summary are analyzed and reflected.Through the comparison before and after,to observe the changes,progress and shortcomings of the novice teacher,in order to provide a little reference for the growth of the novice teacher.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is a summary of relevant literature on online Chinese teaching and the novice teacher teaching;The second chapter introduces the basic situation of the online Chinese teaching project that novice teachers participated in,namely the online Chinese tutoring at the University of Hawaii,and observes and analyzes the teaching video of the first lesson.We mainly find and summarize the problems in several major teaching links,and make attribution analysis;The third chapter is to observe and analyze the video of the fourth lesson of the novice teacher.In view of some problems in the first lesson,continue to observe whether the novice teacher’s teaching behavior still has problems,and whether there is progress based on the reflection in the first lesson;The fourth chapter is mainly to observe and analyze the teaching video of lesson 10 of novice teachers,compare it with lesson 1 and lesson 4,observe the progress and shortcomings of novice teachers and put forward suggestions for teaching improvement.The last chapter summarizes the overall teaching situation of novice teachers,records their growth process,and provides some suggestions for novice teachers to engage in online Chinese teaching.Through the observation of this novice teacher’s teaching class,we put forward some reference suggestions for novice teachers to engage in relevant online Chinese teaching:novice teachers must always review the theoretical knowledge they have learned and pay attention to the flexible use of theoretical knowledge in practice,especially when explaining vocabulary and grammar,they should prepare more examples;The teacher’s language should be concise and fluent,reducing some unnecessary tone pauses and sentence repetition;To use the medium language reasonably,novice teachers can use the medium language when explaining difficult grammar items,which is convenient for students to understand and can also save time;In terms of classroom practice,mechanical practice and meaningful practice should be properly matched,and one way should not be used rigidly;In terms of teaching setup,novice teachers must carefully prepare the teaching courseware,repeatedly check the content of the courseware,match the pictures and texts reasonably and appropriately,diversify the image of characters,and note the teaching instructions in English;Use structured and referential questions in class to arouse students’ enthusiasm and moderately use directive questions;Novice teachers should carefully summarize each class,actively reflect and record their classroom teaching at any time;Teachers should give timely feedback on students’ classroom performance,and the feedback should be detailed. |
