Psychological verbs are verbs that express psychological activities and psychological states,and are the reflection of psychological activities or psychological states in human brain in language.Influenced by the importance of verbs and the particularity of psychological verbs,the research on psychological verbs has been paid much attention by scholars.This paper combines the study on the classification of psychological verbs with special teaching to analyze the problems of psychological verbs encountered by native English speaking students in China.On this basis,it further explores the ways and methods of vocabulary teaching in combination with the practice of Chinese teaching.First of all,psychological verbs in the New HSK Examination Syllabus and HSK Standard Course are investigated and summarized,and the quantity,difficulty distribution and category characteristics of the two are matched.With the help of ontology and classification research of psychological verbs,it is found that the syllabus has a high degree of fit with the teaching material,and the teaching material basically covers the vocabulary of psychological verbs involved in the syllabus.Then,by examining the corpus in the global Chinese interlanguage corpus,this paper analyzes the errors in the use of psychological verbs by international students,calculates the frequency and error rate of psychological verbs,and finds that there are four types of errors in the use of psychological verbs: missubstitution,misaddition,omission and misorder.It also analyzes the factors that may be caused by students’ negative transfer under the influence of their mother tongue,inadequate grasp of basic knowledge,insufficient attention paid by teachers and teaching materials to psychological verbs,incorrect information in vocabulary translation,etc.The reasons can be roughly attributed to three main factors: learners,teachers and teaching materials.Finally,according to the problems found,through the combination of ontology analysis and the corpus in the global Chinese interlanguage corpus,the author puts forward some suggestions for teachers to teach psychological verbs and students to acquire psychological verbs.Teachers should adopt vocabulary teaching methods suitable for students,pay attention to the discrimination between synonyms,pay attention to the morpheme teaching of psychological verbs,strengthen the awareness of syntactic structure replacement,and focus on the context teaching of psychological verbs,while students should fully grasp,accumulate and use psychological verbs,strengthen exercises,adjust improper learning strategies,and create language learning environments.Thus,better teaching and acquisition results can be obtained. |
