Research On Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Design In Physical Bookstores

The rapid development of the Internet and information technology has changed people ’s traditional book purchase and reading mode.Online bookstores and e-books are favored by users because of their cheap price and convenient purchase,which leads to the loss of customers in entity bookstores and the crisis of business difficulties.Nowadays,the transformation and development of entity bookstores has become an important means to break through the dilemma.As an important part of Chinese excellent traditional culture,the combination of intangible cultural heritage and entity bookstores can effectively improve the economic benefits of bookstores,the dissemination of intangible cultural heritage and the ability of public cultural services.The combination of the two makes the entity bookstore no longer a place for selling books,but a new type of social public cultural space integrating reading,leisure,consumption,cultural display and other rich functions.Therefore,the exhibition function,especially the cultural exhibition function,plays a vital role in the new entity bookstore.This thesis combines the entity bookstore with the intangible cultural heritage exhibition,and takes the design practice of grass cloth embroidery exhibition in Beijing Wangfujing Bookstore as an example.Through the field investigation method,investigation research method and interdisciplinary research method,the design exploration and contemporary interpretation of the entity bookstore space and intangible cultural heritage exhibition are carried out.It is divided into five parts.The first chapter introduces the background and significance of the intangible cultural heritage exhibition design in the entity bookstore,and puts forward the research questions.The second chapter combs the development history of bookstores at home and abroad,summarizes the current situation of the transformation and development of entity bookstores,the spatial distribution of entity bookstores,and analyzes the importance of exhibition space in the design of entity bookstores.The third chapter mainly expounds the relationship between entity bookstores and intangible cultural heritage display,the role of intangible cultural heritage exhibition in entity bookstores,and analyzes the current situation and development trend of intangible cultural heritage exhibition in entity bookstores with cases.The fourth chapter is the concrete presentation of the exhibition design scheme of grass cloth embroidery in Wangfujing Bookstore.Through the preliminary investigation,the spatial characteristics and exhibitiony status of Wangfujing Bookstore are analyzed,and the artistic characteristics and exhibition status of grass cloth embroidery are analyzed.The design principles of grass cloth embroidery exhibition in Wangfujing Bookstore are formulated and the design scheme is completed.In the fifth chapter,the author emphasizes the positive significance of the joint development of entity bookstores and intangible cultural heritage,and provides a new design idea for the exhibition of intangible cultural heritage in entity bookstores.The trend of transformation and development of entity bookstores is becoming more and more obvious,and the needs of bookstore customers are also more diversified.Intangible cultural heritage exhibition design can create a better cultural atmosphere in entity bookstores through appropriate display content and exhibition forms,and enhance customers ’ visiting experience and consumption experience.In the future,the intangible cultural heritage exhibition in the entity bookstore will show more professional and unique characteristics,and the intangible cultural heritage exhibition will play a more important cultural and commercial value in the entity bookstore.
