| Following the development of China,the relationship between China and Vietnam has become more cooperative,making the number of Vietnamese Chinese learners gradually increase.Many Vietnamese people think it is not difficult to learn Chinese because there are a lot of Chinese loanwords in Vietnamese language,that is the SinoVietnamese vocabulary.These words enable Vietnamese people to guess the meaning of some words through listening,even if they are not learning Chinese.But once they actually start learning the language,they realize that acquiring Chinese language proficiency is not that simple.At the primary stage,Vietnamese students only memorize new words according to the teacher’s command,and carelessly forget about the advantages of their mother tongue,which makes them struggle in the process of inputting new vocabulary.Recently,in the field of Chinese language teaching,many studies have focused on using Sino-Vietnamese vocabulary to assist in Chinese language learning,but most of those current studies only focus on teaching methods and the teaching effects,ignoring how students themselve use the Sino-Vietnamese words in the vocabulary learning process.Therefore,in order to enrich the research in this field,this paper adopts the case study method to conduct a three-month vocabulary learning strategy training study on two elementary level Vietnamese Chinese learners.One received Sino-Vietnamese vocabulary training,the other did not,and was learning according to their own vocabulary learning strategy.This study collects various data through teaching journals,classroom observation,interviews,and other ways to investigate the current situation.These sources are used toinvestigate the effects and changes of the learning strategies of the trained learners using Sino-Vietnamese words.Additionally,it will investigate whether there are differences between trained and untrained students in learning attitudes,thinking styles,and other aspects.This study found that learning the corresponding Sino-Vietnamese words of Chinese vocabulary is conducive to memorizing new words,improving the ability to guess the meaning of words,enabling learners to effectively expand their vocabulary,and at the same time,generating interest in Chinese learning and strengthening learning motivation.In addition,compared with the untrained learner,the trained student performed better in learning progress,learning achievements and learning habits.The vocabulary learning strategy training research based on Vietnamese Chinese learners’ use of Sino-Vietnamese vocabulary has theoretical and practical significance.In a theoretical sense,this study aims to make up for the gap in vocabulary learning strategies researche of Vietnamese elementary level Chinese learners and enrich the field study of Sino-Vietnamese vocabulary.In the practical sense,this paper studies and analyzes the results of Vietnamese elementary level Chinese learners after training,so as to put forward more clear and effective vocabulary learning strategies,so that learners can use them more efficiently under the guidance of science rather than relying on their own slow approach.In addition,this study also provides some reference for the teaching of Chinese elementary vocabulary for Chinese language teachers. |
