Design And Application Of Brick Carving Patterns In Traditional Residential Buildings In Guanzhong

Brick carving pattern is one of the unique artistic expression forms of folk in Guanzhong area.At present,there are few researches on the application of innovative design of brick carving pattern in Guanzhong.Therefore,designers need to continue to explore the innovative development of brick carving pattern in residential buildings in new era of Guanzhong.This paper takes the brick carving patterns of traditional residential buildings in Guanzhong area of the Ming and Qing Dynasties,such as Tang family courtyard,Zhou family courtyard,Gao family courtyard and Dangjia Village of Hancheng as the research object,and conducts comprehensive research and analysis on the brick carving patterns of traditional residential buildings in Guanzhong area of the Ming and Qing Dynasties through the research methods of literature research and field investigation.The artistic characteristics of brick carving patterns are explained from the aspects of subject matter classification,pattern implication,composition rhythm and artistic aesthetic characteristics.Through discussing its innovative methods and design principles in modern design,the paper refined the brick carving patterns of Guanzhong,and carried out its re-design exploration and practice,so as to arouse people’s attention and protection of the brick carving patterns of traditional residential buildings in Guanzhong.The questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the audience,style preference and other issues.Based on the principles of modern design,the method of re-designing brick carving patterns was summarized.The innovative design was carried out through pattern modeling and color,and the design practice was carried out through linkage with other well-known intangible cultural heritage and pattern design of brick carving.To create Guanzhong brick carving pattern as the design element of highly personalized clothing design products,home textile design products and cultural and creative design products.It not only provides a new direction for the inheritance and innovation of the brick carving patterns of traditional residential buildings in Guanzhong,but also makes people pay more attention to the excellent national culture,thus enhancing national self-confidence and cultural belonging.
