| The first national intangible cultural heritage,the Majie Shuhui,is a product of the endogenous spread of village culture and plays an important role in the cohesion of villages and the spread of folk culture.The meaning of "book" in the Majie Shuhui refers to the repertoire and types of songs performed by the artists,and belongs to the category of rap culture.The Majie Shuhui is an annual "service" for book artists and songwriters at a fixed location and time;a "celebration" for people in Majie Village and the surrounding radiation area to celebrate the Lantern Festival;a "crowning" event for rap artists through book-shining,book-writing,and the selection of book scholars."It is also a ’ceremony’ based on the rituals and traditions agreed upon by the group’s culture,a collection of moral norms that ’no gentleman can raise an artist’,and a series of procedural It is also a ritual based on the rituals and traditions of the group’s culture.Therefore,this paper defines the Majie Shuhui as a ritual and a collection of numerous ritualised social interactions.This paper takes the Majie Shuhui as the object of study,and from the perspective of human subjectivity in the view of communication rituals,uses interactive ritual theory to explore the interactive transmission mechanism of the Majie Shuhui rituals and their impact,and to infer the ups and downs of cultural beliefs that emerge from them,i.e.How the Majie Shuhui strengthens individual identities and cultural identities through communication and interaction,and then unites each other to build the norms that sustain the village community and social order.Through fieldwork,in-depth interviews,questionnaires and documentary research,this paper focuses on the communication context,interactive rituals and meaning of the Majie Shuhui.The first part is the introductory section,which focuses on the reasons for the selection of the topic and the significance of the research,as well as the literature on relevant research results according to the content theme,and a brief overview of the research theories and methods used in this thesis.The second part discusses the two representative stages of interactive rituals in different historical and communicative scenarios through three perspectives:objective natural material background,subjective cultural awareness and media image.The third part presents the four elements of the interactive ritual chain of the Majie Shuhui in the micro context,namely,group gathering,common focus,exclusion barrier and collective excitement.In the fourth part,based on the analysis of the flow of the elements of the interactive ritual chain of the Majie Shuhui,it is found that the Majie Shuhui has two modes of communication:on-site communication and socio-spatial communication,and for the former,a brief analysis is made focusing on the mode of comunication in the micro context,while the analysis of socio-spatial communication is switched to the macro social context,outlining the mode of communication of the Majie Shuhui in the rural society and urban-rural interaction in the Middle Kingdom,and drawing a conclusion on how the ritual The analysis of socio-spatial communication switches to the macro-social context,outlining the communication patterns of book clubs in the Middle Kingdom vernacular society and urban-rural interactions,and drawing reflections on the question of how rituals connect individuals and form the communities that constitute the nation.The fifth part answers the question of how the elements of the Majie Shuhui’s interactive ritual chain have evolved,explains why the ritual has the potential to fail in terms of four prerequisites,and finally makes suggestions for the future development of the Majie Shuhui’s interactive ritual based on an examination of the value of these findings. |
