ChengSui is the most important and innovative artist of the 17th century,and his achievements in calligraphy,painting,seal carving and poetry are extremely high.ChengSui can be said to be the bearer of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,his landscape painting opens a new wind,full of gold and stone interest,this is also a new exploration of painting style,Huang Binhong commented that his work is "moist with spring,dry cracked autumn wind",its use of dry brush and scorched ink makes the work full of ancient atmosphere,using the white in the seal carving,virtual reality,density,yin and yang relationship,epigraphy cultivation,family influence,in the contradiction to seek unity,this way of artistic expression through the ancient and modern,is beyond its contemporaries,He has always had an awakening influence on a group of later avant-garde painters.The research content of this article is mainly divided into four parts.The first chapter is an introduction to ChengSui’s life,exploring the correlation between his life and the origin of his painting style.The other is to roughly classify the landscape painting works of his long career,and explore whether there is a gold and stone interest in the landscape painting works of each period;In the research and analysis of ChengSui’s landscape paintings in different stages,it is found that the gold and stone interest in ChengSui’s landscape paintings is mainly reflected in the later period of YangZhou,that is,after the age of 68,it is more obvious.The second chapter is the focus of this thesis,exploring the interesting expression of gold and stone in ChengSui’s paintings,which is also an ominous part of the study of ChengSui’s works,the author hopes to analyze representative landscape paintings,as well as ChengSui’s pursuit of novelty and wonder,and the road to simplicity,including his epigraphic calligraphy,gold and stone seal carving,and the influence on the arrangement of yin and yang expression,layout,density,and structure in his works.For this reason,it can be summarized as follows:painting with ancient and clumsy lines,layout with seal script,painting with stone and stone,painting with stone and stone calligraphy that is close to Qin and Han Dynasties,and literati’s personality of facing the absence of mountains and rivers and not being an official.Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 focuses on its origins and the influence of artistic value on later Chinese paintings.The author believes that it is mainly driven by two aspects:one is the influence of the fashion of the times.Second,it is related to his early travels.Therefore,ChengSui’s landscape paintings will create a unique landscape painting style.
