With rapid development of China’s social economy,the demand for innovative compound talents has increased day by day.Therefore,cultivation and selection of talents have become the top priority of education reform.In 2018,Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition)was issued by the Ministry of Education,clearly defining connotation of core literacy of subjects and making clear the goal of education reform oriented by core literacy.As an important part of teaching evaluation,the college entrance examination can reflect the progress of curriculum reform to some extent.Core requirements and important tasks of the college entrance examination reform in the new era is to measure and evaluate the core quality of subjects.As the focus of English teaching,English reading embodies comprehensive knowledge system and application ability of the subject.Therefore,reading comprehension,as one of the main types of English ability test,plays a crucial role in the new college entrance examination.At present,many teachers do not fully grasp the trend of the new college entrance examination,so some difficulties and mistakes appear in teaching.Mixed research method is applied to study English reading comprehension in the college entrance examination.It investigates and analyzes implementation and examination of the core English literacy in reading comprehension questions,explores to what extent the questions reflect investigation of the core literacy and summarize its trend,thus finding out rules that can provide reference for in-service teachers’ teaching.Finally,some suggestions on cultivating students’ core quality in English reading are put forward.Two questions are specifically explored:Firstly,what is the status quo of core literacy reflected in reading comprehension part in English paper of new college entrance examination?Secondly,what is the topic trend of reading comprehension in new college entrance examination in recent years?The study of reading questions from 2020 to 2022 shows that the proportion of the reading genre is greater in the examination of explanatory essays than in the examination of application essays and narrative essays,and the topics are about people and nature,society,and self.The proportion of detail comprehension questions is greater than that of reasoning and main idea questions.The test of language ability is reflected in the ability to use various knowledge and strategies to understand language when participating in the topic activities;by examining candidates’ intercultural communication skills and knowledge reserves,it is possible to better present their cultural assessment;By examining the examiners abilities in logical thinking,judgmental thinking,divergent thinking,and inductive and summary thinking,they can better demonstrate their thinking qualities;the test of learning ability is reflected in the active use and active adaptation of English learning strategies,acquiring,processing and using information,analyzing and analyzing information.The test of learning ability reflects the active use and adaptation of English learning strategies to acquire,process and use information,analyze and solve practical problems.Finally,based on the research,this article puts forward suggestions for reading... |
