The Image Space Construction Of Rural Imagery In New Rural Theme Drama Films

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward that revitalizing the countryside is an important task to achieve Chinese path to modernization.Movies have constantly launched various forms of image creation around this top-level design.Since 2005,a number of "new rural theme films" with the theme of "new rural construction","poverty alleviation" and "rural revitalization" have been produced in rural theme films,which show different spatial characteristics in image construction.The film recodes and reconstructs the narrative in the image through the image.As the rural image formed in people’s minds in the process of historical development,"rural image" will change with the changes of the rural elements in reality,and the "rural image" presented in the image text will also change.From the perspective of Henry Lefebvre’s "production of space" theory,this paper conducts theoretical research and case analysis on the films of the new rural theme.Through the creation of the graduation work "Home and Township",this paper clarifies the spatial relationship between the drama of the new rural theme and the "rural image",and establishes the overall thinking of the spatial production and image construction of the "rural image" in the three dimensions of material space,spiritual space and social space.In the material space,through the practice of "rural image" of natural landscape symbols and human landscape symbols,the creator presents the natural style and features of the new countryside,the new situation of traditional and modern interwoven in the drama film image;In the spiritual space,the "rural image" represents the fusion between the mainstream ideology and personal cultural consciousness.The creator reappears the "rural image" under the new landscape and new cultural background through the combination of comedy characters,the type narration of youth and growth,and the application of new audio-visual elements in the media level of the drama;In social space,the "rural image" reflects the spatial continuity and spatial reversal in real social life.The flow of space has contributed to the image transformation of rural groups,and behind it,it points to the new urban-rural relationship in the context of the new era.As a narrative motif,rural areas provide diverse materials for film creation.Through the study of "rural image" in the image of "new rural theme film",we can understand the historical changes of rural areas,perceive the impact of modernization and urbanization on traditional rural society,and gain insight into rural social life in a specific time and space background.Through the design of this graduation project,I hope to provide reference for the creation of the same type of films.
