The Narrative Approach emphasizes the creation of a real language environment and cultural world in the teaching process,and makes students feel immersive from the perspective of both plot and situation,to improve their knowledge,skills and emotional level.As an advanced teaching concept and method,the Narrative Approach,if used in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and culture,will not only have a great impact on the traditional culture teaching method,but may also lead to some thoughts about the reform of Chinese teaching method.In this paper,we try to introduce the Narrative Approach to the teaching of Chinese traditional festivals in foreign languages.The experiment shows that by rearranging the narrative text and applying the Narrative Approach in the teaching session,the class becomes lively and interesting,and the quality of students’ homework improves significantly.The experiment also showed that the application of the Narrative Approach in teaching Chinese traditional festivals has the following effects: for the classroom,the Narrative Approach can expand the application space and increase flexibility;for students,the Narrative Approach can enhance their learning motivation,stimulate their learning potential,and improve their language ability and culture;for teachers,Narrative Approach can help them find students’ language errors in time,and correct and For teachers,the narrative approach helps them to identify students’ language errors,correct and summarize them.For these reasons,the following teaching strategies are recommended for the application of the Narrative Approach to traditional Chinese festivals: before class,teachers should prepare narrative teaching materials for students at different levels;during class,they should create narrative situations using various narrative methods,pay attention to linguistic elements,highlight cultural elements,and explore the deep cultural connotations under the narrative text;after class,they should correct students’ linguistic errors in the narrative After the lesson,we have to correct students’ linguistic mistakes in the narrative and form a teaching case.This paper has direct reference value for teaching Chinese traditional festivals to foreigners,and also has some reference significance for teaching traditional Chinese culture to foreigners. |
