A Study On The Sentence Containing The Word "Yu"(御) In Oracle Bone Inscriptions

The"Yu"(御)in oracle bone inscriptions has a variety of characters and different usages.There are two main uses of the word"Yu"(御)in oracle bone inscriptions:one is used as a ritual verb to avoid calamities,one is used in the phrase"Yu Fang"(御方)and"Yu Shi"(御事).Among them,ritual verbs are most commonly used.In this paper,the sentence containing the word"Yu"(御)in oracle bone inscriptions are collectively referred to as the"Yu"(御)oracle bone inscriptions.The subject of the main part of the study is the sentence containing the ritual verb"Yu"(御)in oracle bone inscriptions.At present,the study of the sentence containing the ritual verb"Yu"(御)in oracle bone inscriptions is mainly focused on the syntactic description of the sentence containing a single ritual verb"Yu"(御).There is no syntactic analysis of the sentence containing multiple ritual verbs in"Yu"(御)oracle bone inscriptions.And although there are studies on the sentence containing the single ritual verb"Yu"(御)in oracle bone inscriptions,they are not detailed and comprehensive enough.Overall,further depth is needed.In this paper,we examine all the sentences containing the ritual verb"Yu"(御)in oracle bone inscriptions,detailing the syntactic forms of the sentence containing single ritual verbs"Yu"(御)and the"Yu"(御)oracle bone inscriptions containing multiple ritual verbs based on their formal characteristics,and summarizing their syntactic features.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction.It mainly identified the characters of "Yu"(御),defined the object of this paper.Next,sorting out the related research and summarizing the shortcomings of current research.In addition,this part introduced the significance,contents,materials,methods and so on.The second part is to sort out and analyze the object in oracle bone inscriptions containing the word "Yu"(御).Based on the different nature of the oracle bone inscriptions,we sort out the contents of the varies types of objects in the oracle bone inscriptions containing the word "Yu"(御),and then try to discuss the problem of object preposition and triple object in oracle bone inscriptions containing the word "Yu"(御).The third part describes and analyzes the syntactic form of the sentence containing single ritual verb "Yu"(御)in oracle bone inscriptions.Firstly,the criteria for determining and classifying the ritual verbs are determined.Then,the sentence containing single ritual verb "Yu"(御)is divided into two main categories: the structure with "Yu"(于)and deity,the structure without "Yu"(于)and deity.On this basis,each major category is divided into three categories,namely,without,single,and double,according to the number of the object.The fourth part describes and analyzes the syntactic form of the sentence which contains the ritual verb "Yu"(御)and other ritual verbs.At the first,the non-sacrificial verb usage when "Yu"(御)is used in conjunction with a ritual verb is eliminated.Next,some related problems in the sentence which contains "Yu"(御)and other ritual verbs are sorted out.Finally,the syntactic form of the sentence which contains "Yu"(御)and other ritual verbs is described according to the relative position of other ritual verbs and "Yu"(御).The last is a concluding section.
