Classifying people is a common phenomenon in classifier language.As a small class of quantifiers in Modern Chinese,quantifiers for persons are used frequently.However,due to its semantic features such as intersectionality and ambiguity,it is often difficult for Chinese learners to distinguish between them when learning and using,which is easy to cause errors.These characteristics also bring certain difficulties to teachers’ teaching.The research based on quantifiers for persons cannot be separated from the analysis of textbooks.Therefore,taking Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education as the reference standard,two different types of textbooks as the research target,this paper makes a comparative study on the quantifiers for persons in the comprehensive textbooks of Developing Chinese(Second Edition)and HSK Standard Course from the perspectives of the range of words,grammatical points and exercises.And then this paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the two textbooks concerning the arrangement of quantifiers for persons.On this basis,the corresponding constructive suggestions are put forward.At the same time,this paper also collects and sorts out the use of typical quantifiers for persons in "HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus",and works out one related teaching plan design.This paper can be divided into seven parts altogether.The first chapter mainly introduces the reasons and significance of the chosen topic,the research target,the research problems and the methods used in this paper,which pave the way for the follow-up research.The second part reviews the research literature on quantifiers for persons at home and abroad,and demonstrates the merits of this research.Based on Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education,the third and fourth parts compare the range and setting of quantifiers for persons in Development Chinese and HSK Standard Course respectively.And the fifth part compares the exercises of quantifiers for persons in the two types of textbooks.In the sixth part,firstly,a few typical quantifiers for persons are selected,collected and classified in "HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus",so as to understand the errors that Chinese learners have made.Then,on this basis,it provides one teaching plan design with the theme of quantifiers for persons,which is mainly for international Chinese teachers’ reference and application.The seventh part is the last part of this paper.It summarizes the full text and puts forward the deficiencies in the research. |
