The key period of ego-identity development is the college stage of late adolescence.During this period,college students leave their family and began to live independently in campus,therefore,they are facing many crises and challenges,which will lead to psychological problems if not solved properly.This research grasps this common development characteristic,giving counseling to a university student.The client’s psychological problems were assessed as common psychological problems,including unreasonable cognition,serious anxiety and depression,and interpersonal communication problems.Selfrating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Ego-identity Scale(EOM-EIS-2)were used in the study.The counseling was carried out nine times,divided into three phases,introducing stage(2 times),transforming stage(5 times),ending stage(2 times),and finally achieved good effect,the unreasonable recognition of the client is corrected,and the emotional problem was eliminated,and getting some interpersonal skills.In process,the researcher introduced the ego-identity crisis situation into the cognitive behavior model,trying to make the counseling solving psychological problems and promoting the development of self-identity either.The main results of this study are as follows:(1)A comprehensive and clear conceptualization of the case can be established by grasping the characteristics of self-identity’s state;(2)The second point is that taking identity crisis as the theme of counseling can achieve good counseling results,solving psycho problems and promoting the development of ego-identity to a certain extent either.The innovation point is the research grasping the common characteristics of universities,in the other hand can also provide reference thinking for university psychological counseling. |
