The study of pragmatics is an integral part of the study of second language acquisition.The pragmatic strategies of Chinese learners in different countries will vary due to differences in cultural background,social relations,and language proficiency.This article takes the rejection pragmatic strategy as the research object,uses the method of discourse completion in the questionnaire and uses 4 research methods: survey method,interview method,document method and induction method to investigate Indonesian Chinese as a second language learner,and compares the development of the rejection pragmatic strategy of the intermediate and advanced Chinese learners.The situation,as well as the differences between Indonesian Chinese learners and native speakers of pragmatic rejection strategies,explore the general characteristics of the rejection strategies of Indonesian students.Through the research of this article,we come to the following conclusions:Chinese language skill level,social power and rejection scenarios influences the rejection strategies used by the rejecters;the advanced level and the rejection strategies used by native Chinese speakers are almost getting closer;the higher the Chinese level is,the higher the advanced level Indonesian learners reject.The more strategies tend to be diversified,the more indirect the strategies used and the more sensitive it is to pragmatic words.Through this research,the writer had also found the characteristics of Chinese learners of 3 different levels,which are the errors made in terms of words and sentences,the pragmatic errors in the acquisition of rejection,and the errors in the context of the rejection.The intermediate level made 19 errors,and the advanced level made 5 errors.There are 4 kinds of errors: addition error,ommision error,selection error and ordering error.From the four types of errors,selection error was the most made errors.The writer is expecting that the research in this article can enrich the second language acquisition,especially in the case study results of Chinese as a second language acquisition and provide some reference for the second language pragmatic teaching for Indonesian learners.
