This paper selects the first and second volumes of the general textbook Learn Chinese With Me(second edition)corresponding to the primary stage of Chinese teaching,and the first and second volumes of the nationalized textbook Jinbu.And take the 2012 International Chinese Classification Culture Items Table(Guide Edition)of Sun Yat-sen University as the cultural item classification system of this paper,classify the cultural items in the textbook and make a specific comparative analysis of the data.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the full text is divided into four parts.First of all,it uses the way of chart combination to analyze and show the data of the classified statistics of cultural items in the three sections of vocabulary,text and cultural introduction of the two sets of textbooks.Secondly,starting from the overall situation and specific content,combined with charts,the similarities and differences in the selection and arrangement of cultural items in the three sections of vocabulary,text and cultural introduction of the two sets of textbooks are compared and analyzed respectively.Then,it intercepts the presentation of the original picture in the textbook,starts with the presentation mode of cultural items in the textbook auxiliary system,and compares the diversification of the presentation of cultural items in the two sets of teaching materials;finally,it summarizes the situation of the above comparative analysis,and puts forward some suggestions on the selection and compilation of cultural items in elementary Chinese textbooks.Through the comparative analysis of statistical data,it can be found that the selection of cultural items should follow the principles of science,pertinence,practicality and interest,and conform to the objective law of second language learning.In the arrangement of the content of specific cultural items,it is necessary to combine traditional culture with contemporary culture to show learners a comprehensive China.We can add some ideas and cultural introductions related to daily communication,and at the same time,the arrangement of cultural items should also maintain a certain recurrence rate.For textbook writers,it is the key to maintain objectivity and cultural sensitivity.at the same time,it is necessary to create situations and choose cultural items reasonably from the perspective of learners.The innovation of this paper lies in the use of cultural adaptation theory and cultural introduction theory in intercultural communication,from the perspective of cross-cultural communication and cultural adaptation to promote language learning.this paper examines whether the arrangement of cultural items helps to improve learners’ ability to adapt to culture and reduce language learning difficulties caused by cultural differences.The purpose of this paper is to provide a new idea for the compilation of elementary Chinese textbooks and the related research of textbook culture items in the future.
