Textbooks,as a fatal bridge between Chinese teachers and Chinese learners,whether systematic and scientifically and whether the content is practical,has always been a hot issue in Chinese as a Foreign Language.As the most systematical and complex part of the three elements,grammar is difficult for the teacher of Chinese as a Foreign Language,textbook writers,and Chinese learners.Moreover,the "primary stage" can be said to be the most critical stage for Chinese learners to some extent.This stage is related to whether learners can lay a solid foundation for their confidence and interest.Therefore,whether the grammar items in primary Chinese textbooks are reasonable and consistent with the learning rules is the main issue.This paper chose the domestic representative two sets of teaching material: The Development of Chinese Primary Comprehensive(?)and HSK Standard Course(1-2),from the choice of grammatical items,segmentation,comments,and practice in four aspects: a comparative analysis of two sets of textbooks.As can be seen from the research results:(1)In terms of the choice of grammar items,the total amount of the two textbooks is roughly the same,but the difference is that the number of grammar items in each lesson is different,and the arrangement of HSK Standard Course(1-2)is more appropriate.From the level of grammar items,there is a shortage of second-level grammar items in both textbooks.(2)In grammar project segmentation,The Development of Chinese Primary Comprehensive(?)has more grammar project segmentation.Compared to the common segmentation grammar project,The Development of Chinese Primary Comprehensive(?)named consistency is higher than HSK Standard Course(1-2),and much more careful segmentation.However,HSK Standard Course(1-2)has a more reasonable segmentation distribution.(3)In the annotation of grammatical items,the two textbooks are concise,but there are problems in using grammatical terms.The form of annotations is roughly the same,but HSK Standard Course(1-2)has more annotation types.(4)In the practice setting of grammar items,the two textbooks have their emphasis.The Development of Chinese Primary Comprehensive(?)has much mechanical practice,and HSK Standard Course(1-2)has more comprehension exercises,namely more practice and communication practice.From this paper,we can see the characteristics and deficiencies of the two textbooks more intuitively,and to a certain extent,enrich the research of primary TCSL textbooks.
