"People" And "Soldiers":A Study Of The Militia In The Anti Japanese Base Areas Of Central Jiangsu

mopping up and clearing up the countryside in the middle of the Central Jiangsu Anti Japanese base area,and the struggle environment in the middle of the Central Jiangsu Anti Japanese base area became increasingly arduous.In order to strive for the time and space for the development of the base areas,the Central Military Region of the Central Jiangsu Anti Japanese base area implemented the policy force in the war of liberation.However,due to their own limitations,the militia in the Anti Japanese base areas in Central Jiangsu also have many problems.The Central Military Region of the Central Jiangsu Anti Japanese base area regularly conducts military,political and cultural training and education for the militia,and the overall quality of the militia has been improved.However,due to the late start of the militia work in the Anti Japanese base areas of Central Jiangsu and the limited funds,many problems existing in the militia have not been completely solved.Through education and training,the militiamen in the Anti Japanese base areas in Central Jiangsu cooperated with the main forces and local armed forces,and extensively participated in the military struggle,maintaining social order,carrying out economic construction,supporting the Anti Japanese democratic regime and other activities in the construction of the base areas.They established a positive image in the hearts of the masses in the base areas,and played a good role in demonstration and publicity.In fact,the militia has become a link between the CPC and the rural society,which has led the masses to
