The semantic concept of null subject has universal cross-language commonality. It is a kind of unconscious conceptual cognition that humans use in language. There are many languages in the world have null subjects. However, the performance of null subjects in specific language is not necessarily the same. There are differences in syntax expression and semantic implication of null subject in different languages. This article uses the semantic map model method to first compare Chinese null subjects across sentences, mainly to explore the commonalities and differences of null subjects in Chinese;then, add other language samples to conduct cross-language comparisons of null subjects, and extend to explore the commonalities and differences of null subjects in world languages;finally, add the Chinese interlanguage to draw a semantic map of the null subject of Chinese interlanguage, and explore the commonalities and differences of Chinese null subject acquisition. The article is divided into five parts.Chapter 1 is the introduction.Reveal the origin of the research of this article, explain the current domestic and foreign research on null subjects and semantic map models, point out the problems and shortcomings of existing research, clarify the research methods and research thoughts adopted in this article, and explain the research significance of this article and the source of the corpus.Chapter 2 is to redefine the concept of null subjects and explore the distribution, functions and types of Chinese null subjects. The first part elaborates on the diversity of subject performance, and explains that null subject performance is also diverse. The formulation of null subject is limited to reflection on the formal syntax, connecting various linguistic facts, and expanding the understanding of the concept of null subject. The second part takes Chinese null subjects as the research object, and conducts a comprehensive distribution description, functional analysis and type summary.Chapter 3 is the cross-language null subject semantic map.Based on the research of Chinese null subjects in the previous chapter, this chapter constructs the conceptual space of Chinese null subjects and draws the semantic map.Expand the conceptual space of empty subjects by adding language samples such as English,Spanish,Japanese,to form a cross-lingual semantic map of empty subjects and draw observable common laws from the map.Chapter 4 is the semantic map of null subjects in Chinese interlanguage.Focus on the use of Chinese null subjects in the inter-language composition written by beginner, intermediate, and advanced Chinese learners in different native languages of English,Japanese, and Spanish;take the Chinese null subject concept space established in Chapter 3 of this article as the base map to draw semantic maps of Chinese null subjects in the interlanguage of learners of different levels and different native backgrounds;summarize the general acquisition orders of Chinese null subjects, and draw the corresponding enlightenment for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Chapter 5 is the conclusion.Integrate the research conclusions of this article, point out the innovations of the research, and explain the deficiencies of the research.
