| The political reform advocated by Zhang Juzheng is a famous and an successful event in the Ming Dynasty.His political reform is foucused by the researcher in the later hundred years.Zhang Juzheng,as a prime minister,depended on his extraordinary thought and talent to push for political reform for ten years.He thought that the most important thing maybe the efficiency of the officers,so that he tried his best to promote efficiency as the first policy.Zhang Juzheng depended on some serious rules to strengthen supervision and to increase efficiency.After finishing that,Zhang Juzheng begun to devote himself to reform tax policies.He introduced some measures to help the people were freed from the labours of corvee.Besides that,his practice promoted the social and economic development effectively.At last,his policies greatly improved the country’s serious fiscal deficit crisis.As the saying goes,thought decides action.There is a profound legal insight to see through the country’s ills and push through related reforms.He took "only what is appropriate at the time and what is comfortable for the people" as the starting point and basic compliance for revising and formulating the legal system.He stressed that"law should be appropriate at the time" and "law should be appropriate for the people",only the law that can truly guarantee people’s livelihood and stability is a good law and good governance can be carried out.In addition,Zhang Juzheng also advocated the "law must be enforced,rape no amnesty","law enforcement should be strict" idea of justice and Crime Prevention,he should strictly enforce the country’s legal system,to establish the authority of the law,in order to achieve the goal of maintaining the normal order of the country,preventing crime,ensuring people’s livelihood and "bringing the world to justice",we should change the past situation of laws and regulations being abandoned and laws not working properly.This paper explores what Zhang Juzheng’s legal thought can be used for reference in the current legal process of the country’s overall rule of law. |
