On The Singing Art Of Donglu Huaibang

Huaibang is one of the rare ancient local operas in China,it is commonly known as "huaidiao" and "Huaiqing Bangzi".It is named after Huaiqing Prefecture in Ming Dynasty(Xiuwu County,Qinyang City,Wuzhi County,Boai County,Mengxian County,Jiyuan City,etc.)and has a history of more than 300 years.It is often said that "when a house sells land,you have to watch huaibang opera.When you sell garlic and ginger,you have to watch Lao Huai bang,Huaibang,with its unique style,has long been integrated with the life of huaichuan people,and is one of the important ways for huaichuan people to express their happiness,anger,sadness and happiness.In the 1930s and 1940s,although the fierce Japanese War brought great trauma to huaibang Opera Troupe,the victory of China’s Anti Japanese War and the reform of a series of opera policies after the founding of new China made huaibang opera come back to life again.In May 2006,huaibang was listed in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.Since then,more people with lofty ideals have paid attention to this exciting and heroic drama.With the change of time,due to the regional differences,huaibang gradually formed two systems:the West huaibang with Qinyang as the main body and the East huaibang with Xiuwu as the main body.This paper will focus on the singing characteristics of the East Road huaibang,which is mainly located in Xiuwu County within the boundary of Huaiqing Prefecture.From the aspects of music aesthetics and singing art,this paper explores the singing art of Donglu huaibang.This paper consists of four chapters,The first chapter constructs the historical and cultural space of huaibang through the origin theory and the historical background of its development,and analyzes the historical origin and the conditions of its emergence.In the second chapter will start from the noumenon of this art form,tell about the characteristics of huaibang’s lyrics pronunciation and rhythm,singing plate,etc.The third chapter,the author will use the methods of field investigation and audio analysis to conduct in-depth communication and discussion with the inheriting artists of huaibang in the East Road on the singing characteristics of voice,resonance and tuning.In the fourth chapter,the author collects and analyzes the current situation of huaibang in Donglu,and makes a contribution to the development of huaibang.
