The world is constituted by text.Whoever can tell stories and write stories has control right.In the flood of information,individual memories are quickly disintegrated.The world became empty and unreal.Therefore,docudrama,as a kind of media text,has great significance on how to present and construct collective memory based on the present.This study takes docudrama as the research object,and selects the docudrama"The National SouthWest Associated University" as a typical case.From collective memory theory and media memory theory,this study uses case study method,text analysis method and literature research method to explore the presentation and construction of collective memory in Chinese Docudrama.This study is divided into four chapters.The first chapter:introduction.Introduce the time background and industry background of the development of Chinese docudrama.Review collective memory theory,media memory theory and the related research of docudrama.The second chapter focuses on the presentation of collective memory in docudrama.The study found that the presentation form of collective memory in docudrama is specifically manifested by the grand theme awakening collective memory,micro narration activating collective memory,audio-visual language storing collective memory and true reproduction restoring collective memory.The third chapter focuses on the construction of collective memory in docudrama.In the process of constructing collective memory,there is a game relationship between the directors,dictators and audiences——the tripartite rights subjects who construct collective memory.Their construction of collective memory is reflected in three aspects:directors select collective memories;dictators highlight collective memories and audiences re-inscribe collective memories.The fourth chapter:conclusion and discussion.Combined the research results of collective memory theory and media memory theory,this study proposes a theoretical model for the construction of collective memory in docudrama:directors take docudrama as a carrier to present collective memory through grand theme,micro-narration,audio-visual language and true representation.Directors,dictators and audiences interact with each other.Directors aggregate the individual memory of dictator into collective memory by selectively processing the memory materials(documentary materials and oral history).Dictators tell their past memory infection through the lens to influence the audiences.Audiences’ memory practice in media space feedback to the directors and expand the scope and boundary of collective memory.This study takes the docudrama "The National SouthWest Associated University"as a typical case,proposes the theoretical model for the construction of collective memory in docudrama.It verified Halbwachs’s collective memory theory and developed Shao Peng’s media memory model.At the same time,aiming at the shortcomings in the process of presenting and constructing collective memory in Chinese docudrama,this study puts forward specific suggestions for the creation and dissemination of docudrama and the maintenance and inheritance of collective memories which provide new ideas for the production of docudrama in the future.
