Acupuncture Treatment Of Kidney Deficiency And Essence Deficiency Based On The Theory Of ’Kidney Storing Essence’ Clinical Study Of Oligoasthenospermia

Objective Based on the theory of ’ kidney storing essence ’,Shenshu,Jingmen,Taixi and the three lines of forehead were selected according to the principle of back-shu and front-mu points,and the clinical efficacy and safety of acupuncture in the treatment of oligoasthenospermia with kidney deficiency and essence deficiency were observed.Methods In this study,84 patients who met the clinical diagnostic criteria of oligoasthenospermia were randomly divided into observation group(acupuncture group)and control group(oral levocarnitine group)from the andrology clinic of Ningxia Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine.The observation group was treated with acupuncture(Shenshu,Jingmen,Taixi,forehead 3 line),5 times a week for 4 weeks.Patients in the control group were po administered with Levocarnitine Oral Liquid,1 tablet each time,taken during meals,twice daily for 4 weeks.The two groups of patients were in the treatment before and after treatment within a week of semen routine examination,mainly to observe the sperm quality(including sperm concentration,sperm motility,PR,PR+NP)and record the TCM syndrome score,and in the treatment of 1 month after the telephone follow-up of their spouses with or without pregnancy,the above data were statistically analyzed.Results1.Baseline differences : A total of 81 patients with oligoasthenospermia completed the study,including 40 in the observation group and 41 in the control group.There was no significant statistical difference in age,medical history,sperm quality(sperm concentration,motility,PR,PR+NP)and total score of TCM syndromes(P<0.05),so the two groups were comparable.2.Sperm quality assessment : After 4 weeks of treatment,the sperm concentration,motility,PR and PR+NP of the two groups before and after treatment were statistically different(P<0.05),indicating that the acupuncture group and the oral L-carnitine group can effectively improve the sperm quality of patients with oligoasthenospermia;the difference of sperm motility,PR and PR+NP between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically different(P<0.05),indicating that the acupuncture group was better than the oral levocarnitine group in improving sperm motility,PR and PR+NP in patients with oligoasthenospermia.In terms of sperm concentration,there was no significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P=0.755>0.05),indicating that the two groups had basically the same effect in improving sperm concentration.3.Evaluation of TCM syndrome score : Comparison within the group,the total score of TCM syndromes before and after treatment in the two groups was statistically different(P<0.05),indicating that the acupuncture group and the oral levocarnitine group could significantly reduce the TCM syndrome score;the difference between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the acupuncture group was superior to the oral levocarnitine group in reducing the total score of TCM syndromes.4.The pregnancy status of the spouses of the follow-up patients : 1 month after the end of treatment,the two groups were followed up.Among them,3 cases of spouse pregnancy in the observation group after treatment,the pregnancy rate was 7.50 %;in the control group,1spouse was pregnant,and the pregnancy rate was 2.44 %,with no statistical difference(P>0.05).5.Clinical efficacy evaluation : in the observation group,3 cases were cured,15 cases were markedly effective,15 cases were improved,7 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 82.50 %.In the control group,1 case was cured,9 cases were markedly effective,18 cases were improved,and 13 cases were ineffective.The total effective rate was68.29 %,indicating that the efficacy of the acupuncture group was better than that of the oral levocarnitine group(P<0.05).6.Safety evaluation : A total of 84 patients with oligoasthenospermia were included in this study.Three patients fell off during the clinical study.No adverse reactions and adverse events occurred during the treatment,and the safety evaluation was level 1.Conclusion Based on the theory of ’ kidney storing essence ’ and the principle of selecting back-shu and front-mu points(Shenshu,Jingmen,Taixi,and the third line of forehead),acupuncture has a good effect on oligoasthenospermia.It can improve the sperm concentration,sperm motility,sperm forward motility and total motility of patients,and also significantly improve the clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine.It has high safety and low adverse reactions,and is worthy of clinical promotion.
