Health communication is a kind of health knowledge that translates medical research results into public health knowledge and reduces morbidity and mortality by changing the attitudes and behaviors of the public, which can effectively improve the quality of life and health standards of a community or country.Due to the increase in age,the decline of physical functions, coupled with the invasion of diseases, the health status of the elderly is not optimistic, and the health problems of the elderly are becoming increasingly prominent, which has become a problem that social development has to pay attention to and solve. The elderly’s demand for health information is growing, but the rapid development of the social economy has led to imperfect mechanisms for the health behavior of the elderly, insufficient health services, and cannot meet the needs of the elderly. Therefore, how to strengthen the contact between the elderly and the information age, clarify the mechanisms that affect the health behavior of the elderly, and explore ways to promote the healthy behavior of the elderly are urgent problems that need to be solved. This study attempts to start from the perspective of communication science and social psychology, based on the theory of "knowledge and faith",health belief theory, and social support theory, using questionnaire surveys and in-depth interview methods, selecting regions and cities with different degrees of economic development, covering different physical conditions, and the elderly in different pension scenarios as the research object, conducting interviews on health information contact channels, health knowledge, health behavior, etc.,exploring the factors affecting their health behavior, and finally introducing network health literacy, health beliefs, etc. The society supports three mediating variables, supplemented by quantitative data analysis methods,to explore the impact of health information contact on the health behavior of the elderly and analyze the causes, and to verify the influence mechanism of the intermediary variables, and to propose targeted strategies to optimize the health transmission of the elderly.Through in-depth research, the results show that online health literacy, health beliefs, and social support all play a part of the mediating role between health information exposure and health behaviors in the elderly.Starting from bandura’s theory of social cognition, the author explains the relationship between individual network health literacy, health beliefs, and social support. After analyzing the reasons for the role of intermediary variables, the author proposes dissemination suggestions from the four levels of "persuasion" of health information contact,"cultivation" of online health literacy,"breakthrough" of health belief and self-efficacy,and "collaboration" of social support according to the empirical results. This study provides a more accurate direction for the effective dissemination of health information,is committed to improving the effect of health communication among the elderly, aims to promote the healthy behavior of the elderly, achieves positive aging, and has practical value for strengthening the health education and health promotion of the elderly in the whole society. |
