Objective: quantitative CT(QCT)was used to measure lumbar spine bone mineral density(BMD)and vertebral qualitative composition to study the corelation lumbar spine(BMD)and blood biochemical indicators, vertebral qualitative composition in middle-aged and old women for early prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and prediction. Methods: A total of 1005 females aged from 48 to 80 years physical examinations were performed in Yijishan Hospital of Wannan Medical Collage health management center from January 2021 and December 2021 in middle-aged and old women. The subject,s systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, the height, weight, and the body mass index(BMI)were acquired.Venous blood on an empty stomach was collected to detect neutrophil, lymphocyte, hemoglobin, blood platelet, fasting blood-glucose,total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, and low density lipoprotein. All subjects after lung low-dose CT examination,at the same time,QCT post-processing software was used to measure lumbar spine BMD and T12 vertebral level of central vertebral muscles muscles area, fat area; And calculate average L1 and L2 bone density value V-BMD and MFI.The muscle fat infiltration(MFI),e.g.fat area/(muscle area+fat area),was calculated. The measurement data for the following statistical analysis:(1)The pearson correlation analysis was used to for analyzing the correlations between lumbar spine(BMD)and blood biochemical indicators, the muscle area, fat area and MFI.(2)According to QCT osteoporosis diagnostic criteria, the subjects were divided into normal bone mass group, bone mass reduction group and osteoporosis group.Using single factor analysis of variance between different groups of blood routine, blood biochemical indexes and vertebral after mass composition is significantly different muscle groups.(3)The subjects were divided into miiddle-aged group(48-59 years),elderly group(≥60 years).Statistical analysis was performed using independent-samples T test.(4)The pearson correlation analysis was used to for analyzing the correlations between muscle area, fat area,MFI and total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein.(5)The linear regression analysis was used for analyzing the correlations between lumbar spine(BMD)and blood biochemical indicators, the muscle area, fat area and MFI.Results:(1)The correlation analysis showed that BMD were negatively correlated with the age, systolic pressure, fat area,MFI,fasting blood-glucose,total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein(P=0.000,r=-0.60;P=0.000,r=-0.24;P=0.000,r=-0.21;P=0.000,r=-0.18;P=0.002,r=-0.10;P=0.000,r=-0.19;P=0.005,r=-0.09).Positive correlation existed for BMD with blood platelet.Controlling the age and BMI,the lumbar BMD was positively correlated with blood platelet(P=0.000,r=0.12),but had negative correlation with fat muscle and total cholesterol(P=0.006,r=-0.10;P=0.000,r=-0.14).(2)There were significant differences in age, platelet count, systolic pressure, fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, fat area and MFI among different BMD groups(P<0.01).(3)Systolic pressure, fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, fat area and MFI in middle-aged group was lower than those in elderly group.BMD and muscle area in middle-aged group was higher than those in elderly group(P<0.01).The lumbar BMD was negatively correlated with fat area in both middle-aged group and elderly group by controlling the age and BMI.(4)Regression equation showed that age, total cholesterol and blood platelet were main influential factors of BMD.Conclusion: The results showed that platelets had a protective effect on lumbar vertebrae bone density in middle-aged and elderly women. There was a certain correlation between the fat content of posterior vertebra muscle and lumbar BMD,and the influence of fat content on BMD increased with the increase of age.At the same time, clinicians need to be alert to middle-aged and older women with high cholesterol levels, which may indicate a higher risk of osteoporosis or bone mass loss.Close monitoring of bone mineral density and early intervention are necessary。...
