Evaluation Of Early Clinical Efficacy Of Zhongxiao Ointment In The Treatment Of Anal Carbuncle With Heat Toxin Accumulation

OBJECTIVE: This study was conducted to investigate the clinical treatment effect of Zhongxiao ointment on early stage of heat poisonous anal canker from clinical observation,to systematically summarize the clinical efficacy of Zhongxiao ointment,to clarify the clinical efficacy of Zhongxiao ointment,to explore the clinical effects of Zhongxiao ointment,to provide objective basis for the application and clinical promotion of Zhongxiao ointment in early stage of heat poisonous anal canker,and to provide new treatment ideas for early stage of heat poisonous anal canker.METHODS: Seventy patients who met the inclusion criteria and attended the outpatient clinic of the Department of Anorectal Medicine,Kunming Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to December 2022 were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group was treated with topical Zhongxiao ointment;the control group was treated with topical mupirocin ointment.The efficacy of the treatment was evaluated and statistically analyzed by observing and collecting the relevant indexes of the patients.Before the treatment,the age,gender and duration of the disease were recorded and compared between the two groups,and 14 days were used as a course of treatment to observe and compare the five indexes of perianal pain,extent of lumps,texture of lumps,general symptoms and quantitative score of TCM symptoms before and after the treatment.Finally,the efficacy and safety were determined and compared according to the observation results.RESULTS: There were no statistical differences in age,gender and duration of disease between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05).There was no statistical difference between the two groups before treatment in terms of perianal pain,extent of mass,mass texture and systemic symptoms(P > 0.05).After 14 days of treatment,all scores decreased in both groups except for systemic symptoms(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the mass extent and mass texture score between the groups after treatment(P > 0.05).There was a significant and statistically significant difference in perianal pain between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05),while the improvement of perianal pain in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P < 0.05).In addition to pulse count,the test group showed a more significant reduction in the Chinese medicine symptoms of irritability,thirst and drinking,constipation,yellow urine and yellow tongue coating than the control group(P < 0.05),indicating that the test group was more effective than the control group in treating the Chinese medicine symptoms of irritability,thirst and drinking,constipation,yellow urine and yellow tongue coating.This suggests that the Zhongxiao ointment is suitable for the etiology and pathogenesis of heat and poisonous canker sores and has better clinical efficacy for heat and poisonous canker sores.The treatment in both groups was safe and no adverse effects occurred.Conclusion: The treatment of perianal pain,the extent and texture of the lumps,irritability,thirst,constipation,yellow urine,red tongue with yellow coating,and the improvement of perianal pain with Zhongxiao ointment was significantly better than that of the control group.The treatment effectively reduced perianal pain,reduced the extent of the mass,softened the texture of the mass,and improved the TCM symptoms,but had no significant effect on the systemic symptoms.The Zhongxiao ointment has good safety and excellent effect on the most urgent demand of patients for pain relief,which is worthy of further clinical promotion.
