Study On The Law Of Syndrome And Treatment Of "Thirst" In The Shang Han Lun

Purpose:To analyze and summarize the treatment methods of "thirst" in "Treatise on Typhoid and Miscellaneous Diseases" and the rules of prescription and medication,so as to clarify the thinking for the treatment of "thirst" in clinical practice.Methods:This article mainly uses statistical methods and literature research methods to explore.Systematically organize and summarize the articles related to "thirst" in "Treatise on Febrile Diseases",and comprehensively grasp Zhong Jing’s understanding of "thirst".The article is divided into five parts,which are the pathogenesis of "thirst" in "Treatise on Typhoid and Miscellaneous Diseases",the guiding significance of distinguishing "thirst" for clinical practice,the treatment of "thirst",formulas for treating "thirst",and drugs for treating "thirst".Results:There are 35 articles explicitly referring to "thirst" in Treatise on Febrile Diseases,and42 articles in the original text referring to "thirst" in Synopsis of the Golden Chamber.The pathogenesis of "thirst" disease can be divided into two aspects: body fluid deficiency and body fluid transmission barrier,which can be subdivided into heat evil hurting the body fluid,water and heat intertwined,yin deficiency and deficiency of the body fluid,damp-heat stagnation,spleen and kidney yang deficiency,internal stop of water and blood stasis.The treatment methods of "thirst" can be divided into the methods of clearing heat and generating fluid,reducing the amount of blood and drinking,storing yin in a hurry,nourishing yin and generating fluid,purging yang and transforming qi,nourishing yin and promoting water,relieving heat and removing water,activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis,and warming kidney and supporting yang.In terms of the clinical guiding significance of distinguishing "thirst",by distinguishing the degree of thirst and its accompanying symptoms,we can determine the disease nature,prompt the disease location,judge the transmission,judge the prognosis and safety,and provide positive guidance for daily diet and post disease care.In terms of the prescription for the treatment of "thirst",Zhong Jing gave a variety of compatibility combinations according to different pathogenesis in his book,which can be summarized as one point: "Observe the pulse syndrome,know what is wrong,and treat it according to the syndrome."Conclusions:1.In terms of pathogenesis,we should pay attention to the qi function of excess pathogenic factors and kidney.The solid evil generally refers to the pathological products such as water drinking and blood stasis.Zhongjing’s prescription takes the solid evil directly,and when the evil goes away,thirst will stop;The kidney controls water and participates in all aspects of body fluid metabolism.For the "thirst" syndrome with abnormal water metabolism,the recovery of the kidney’s gasification function should be put first in the treatment.2.In the aspect of syndrome differentiation,pay attention to consultation.As the food cereal is the source of acquired essence,Zhongjing paid special attention to the inquiry of the patient’s food taste,such as thirst or not,how much water to drink,preference for cold and hot,and taste in the mouth.Inquiries are of great guiding significance to the determination of the profit and loss of body fluid,the distribution state and the function of viscera.3.In terms of treatment,in addition to routine medication,attention should also be paid to daily drinking water and post disease care.Zhongjing has mentioned many times in his book the post-disease care of "thirst",such as "eating boiled cakes,not using salted soybeans","drinking less and drinking less",etc.In daily life,we should pay attention to the "degree" of drinking water,and pay more attention to "how to drink water" when nursing after illness.Innovation points:This study combines the "Treatise on Febrile Diseases" with the "Synopsis of the Golden Chamber" and systematically and comprehensively organizes the relevant provisions of "thirst" in Zhong Jing’s book.It analyzes the pathogenesis,treatment,prescription,and prognosis of "thirst" from multiple perspectives,and summarizes the prescription and medication patterns of Zhong Jing’s treatment of "thirst",clarifying the treatment of "thirst" in clinical practice.
