Clinical Observation Of Buyang Huanwu Decoction In Treating Immune Dysfunction Of Sepsis

Objective This subject aims to observe the clinical efficacy of Buyang Huanwu Decoction in treating patients with sepsis of qi deficiency and blood stasis type,as wellas its effects on the ratio of neutrophil tolymphocyte ratio(NLR),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-10(IL-10),mammalian target of rapamycin(m TOR),and hypoxiainducible factor 1 α(HIF-1α),The effects of SOFA score and TCM syndrome score on the immune function of sepsis were explored,providing a theoretical basis for the treatment of sepsis with integrated traditional Chinese and Westernmedicine.MethodWe mainly collected 66 patients with sepsis who met the inclusion criteria andwere hospitalized in the Emergency Department of the People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2022.02 to 2023.03.According to the random number method,they were divided into treatmentgroup with 33 cases and control group with 33 cases.The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine,including anti infection,fluid replacement,and maintenance of vital signs;In the treatment group,in addition to the above-mentioned western medicine treatment,Buyang Huanwu Decoction was added.Both groups were treated continuously for 7 days,and the NLR,IL-6,IL-10,m TOR,HIF-1α,SOFA scores,and TCM syndrome scores of the patients on the first and seventh days of the treatment cycle were recorded.Statistical analysis was used to evaluate the efficacy.Results1.Baseline comparison between the two groups showed no significant differencein gender and age(P>0.05),which was comparable.There are more male patients than female patients,and the average age of both groups of patients is above 65 years old2.Comparison of TCM syndrome scores: After treatment,the scores of TCM syndrome scores in both groups decreased compared to the previous one,and thedifference was significant(P<0.01).The TCM syndrome scores in the treatmentgroup were lower(P<0.05),with the effective rate of 86.6% in the treatmentgroup and 77.4% in the control group.3.Comparison of SOFA scores: After treatment,the SOFA scores of both groups decreased significantly compared to the previous one(P<0.01),while the SOFA scores of the treatment group were lower(P<0.05).4.Comparison of NLR: After treatment,the NLR in both groups decreased compared to the previous one(P<0.05),and the NLR level in the treatment group was lower(P<0.05).5.Comparison of IL-6: After treatment,the average level of IL-6 water in the two groups decreased compared to the previous one(P<0.05),while the level of IL-6 in the treatment group was lower(P<0.05).6.Comparison of IL-10,there was no statistically significant difference in IL-10 concentration between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).7.Comparison of m TOR,m TOR in both groups increased after treatmen(P<0.05)t,and the level of m TOR in the treatment group was higher(P<0.05).8.Comparison of HIF-1α,HIF-1α in both groups increased after treatment(P<0.05),and the level of HIF-1α in the treatment group was higher(P<0.05).Conclusion1.For patients with immune dysfunction in sepsis,adding Buyang Huanwu Decoction to the routine treatment of sepsis may improve the immune function of patients with sepsis by reducing the levels of NLR and IL-6,increasing the levels of m TOR and HIF-1α.2.Buyang Huanwu Decoction can effectively reduce the TCM syndrome scores of patients with immune dysfunction in sepsis of qi deficiency and blood stasis type,providing a clinical basis for the treatment of immune dysfunction in sepsis by combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
