| Purpose:We analyzed the assignment scores of electroacupuncture combined with Houpo Paiqi Mixture in patients with Qi-stagnation constipation after thoracolumbar fracture surgery to understand the effectiveness of electroacupuncture combined with Houpo Paiqi Mixture in the treatment of patients with Qi-stagnation constipation after thoracolumbar fracture surgery.Houpo Paiqi Mixture on patients with post-thoracolumbar fracture Qi-stagnation constipation,to provide a reference for the treatment of subsequent spinal surgery complications.Method:From March 2022 to March 2023,72 patients with single-segment thoracolumbar fractures treated with thoracolumbar fracture incision + internal fixation with arch nail were collected, and were numbered and divided into joint group, electroacupuncture group, and drug group according to the time of admission using randomized table method and controlled study,in which patients in the combined group were treated with electroacupuncture stimulation(treatment points: Tsusanli acupuncture point,Shangjuxu,Tianshu,Zhi Gou)and oral Hou Pu Exhaustion Compound,24 patients,12 males and 12 females, age 56.67±11.74 years;patients in the drug group were treated with oral Hou Pu Exhaustion Compound,24 patients,17 males and 7 females, age 51.75±12.03 years;patients in the electroacupuncture group were treated with electroacupuncture stimulation,24 patients,15 males and 9 females, age 57.17±10.83 years old.The time of first anal venting, time of first defecation, and the pre-treatment and post-treatment bloating and constipation symptom scores,PAC—SYM scale, and PAC—QOL scale were recorded respectively, and the clinical efficacy was evaluated before the operation,6 hours after the treatment,10 hours after the treatment, and 3 days after the treatment by statistical analysis with SPSS 23.0 software, and conclusions were drawn. Results: All patients completed the experiment successfully.1.The differences in gender, age,BMI,operative time, and operative bleeding between the two groups were not statistically significant(P > 0.05)and were comparable.2.The time to first exhaustion and defecation after treatment was significantly shorter in the combined group than in the remaining two treatment groups(P < 0.05),and the time to first exhaustion and first defecation was slightly shorter in the electroacupuncture group than in the drug group, with no significant difference(P > 0.05).3.Comparison of constipation symptom scores: There was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of bloating and constipation symptom scores among the three groups of patients before treatment(P > 0.05);the difference between the scores of the combined group and the remaining two groups at each time period after treatment was significant(P < 0.05),and the difference between the scores of the electroacupuncture group and the drug group was not significant(P > 0.05);intra-group comparison showed that the score values of each group were inversely proportional to time during the 3-day treatment period, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.PAC—SYM: There was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of PAC—SYM among the three groups of constipated patients before treatment(P > 0.05);the difference between the scores of the combined group and the remaining two groups at each time period after treatment was significant(P < 0.05),and the difference between the scores of the electroacupuncture group and the drug group was not significant(P > 0.05);the within-group comparison showed that the scores values were inversely proportional to time during the 3-day treatment period, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.PAC—QOL: There was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of PAC—QOL among the three groups of constipated patients before treatment(P > 0.05);the difference in scores between the combined group and the remaining two groups was significant at all time periods after treatment(P < 0.05);within-group comparisons showed that the scores were inversely proportional to time and statistically significant during the3-day treatment period(P < 0.05).Conclusion: The combined use of electroacupuncture stimulation and Houpo Paiqi Mixture can significantly improve the symptoms of abdominal distension and constipation after thoracolumbar fracture, and promote the ventilation and defecation of patients after thoracolumbar fracture, and the data show that the combined treatment effect is significantly better than the drug or electroacupuncture treatment alone. |
