Objective:To explore the correlation between triglyceride glucose(TyG)index and metabolic syndrome(MS)in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods:524 patients with T2DM were enrolled and divided into five groups according to the diagnostic criteria of MS.There were pure T2DM group(G0 group,n=78),T2DM plus one item of MS group(G1 group,n=140),T2DM plus 2 items of MS group(G2 group,n=163),T2DM plus three items of MS group(G3 group,n=93)and T2DM plus all items of MS group(G4 group,n=50).The general clinical data of the five groups were collected,and the TyG value,homeostasis model to assess insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)was calculated according to the peripheral blood test results,using spss26.0 software statistical analysis of the correlation between triglyceride glucose index and metabolic syndrome in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Results:1.The five groups were significantly different in age,course of diabetes,hypertension history,systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),body mass index(BMI),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),alanine aminotrasferase(ALT),triglyceridemic(TG),high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C),creatinine(Cr),uric acid(UA),TyG index and HOMA-IR(P<0.05).TyG was significantly lower in G0 group[8.789(8.541,9.015)]than in G1 group[9.042(8.599,9.514)],G2 group[9.309(8.838,9.758)],G3 group[9.618(9.302,10.110)]and G4 group[10.043(9.833,10.578)](P<0.05).2.The results of the Spearman correlation analysis showed that in T2DM patients,TyG was positively correlated with SBP,DBP,BMI,total cholesterol,TG,Low density lipoprotein-cholesterol,glycosylated hemoglobin,FPG,HOMA-IR,ALT,aspartate aminotransferase,Cr and UA(r=0.093,0.291,0.287,0.402,0.934,0.15,0.315,0.629,0.366,0.239,0.098,0.108,0.246,P<0.05),and negatively correlated with age,course of diabetes and HDL-C(r=-0.163,-0.124,-0.161,P<0.05).3.The results of binary logistic regression analysis showed that age,SBP,BMI,TG,FPG,TyG and HOMA-IR were the risk factors of MS in T2DM patients;elevated HDL-C is a protective factor of MS in T2DM patients.4.Ordered logistic regression analysis showed that TyG level had significant influence on T2DM combined with MS(P<0.05).5.Taking TyG as the research object,the area under ROC curve AUC=0.768(95%CI=0.727-0.810,P<0.05),the best critical value is 9.2368,the sensitivity is 69.6%,and the specificity is 79.4%.Conclusion:The level of TyG increases with the increase of the number of MS components in patients with T2DM.TyG level is an risk factor for T2DM combined with MS,and higher TyG level is associated with the higher risk. |
