| With the rise of online platform employment and the acceleration of urbanization in China,a number of new citizens have emerged, who take odd jobs and platform economy as their main employment modes or who have migrated to cities to work without obtaining the residence registration of local permanent residents. As the main force of urban construction, they have made great contributions to urban development and promoted the economy. At the same time, they still face some difficulties, such as poor stability and lack of guarantee, which seriously affect the development of new citizens. Therefore, establishing a perfect new citizen security system is an inevitable requirement for stabilizing employment and promoting development. In fact, commercial health insurance,as a supplement to social insurance, should give full play to the protection function of commercial health insurance to new citizens, and study the new citizens’ willingness to participate in insurance, that is,the influencing factors, which is a realistic problem that needs to be solved urgently to effectively protect the basic rights and interests of new citizens. In this paper, through literature retrieval,we selected Maslow’s demand theory,Grossman’s health demand theory and utility theory for reference, designed a questionnaire, investigated the demographic characteristics, lifestyle characteristics, health insurance cognition characteristics and health insurance purchase intention characteristics of new citizens, analyzed and compared the obtained data, and got a real understanding of the difference between new citizens’ development status and their willingness to participate in insurance, and further analyzed the influencing factors of new citizens’ health insurance demand by establishing logistic model for regression analysis, and finally reached a conclusion.Through investigation,it is found that the new citizens have some problems, such as low education level, low economic income, high frequency of job change, etc. The flexible employment mode also makes it difficult for the new citizens to obtain stable protection, and the older they are,the heavier their family burden and the worse their health, the stronger their willingness to buy health insurance.New citizens who are willing to invest a certain amount of health care investment every year to increase protection for their families and themselves and have certain knowledge of health insurance have greater demand for health insurance, and are more willing to buy health insurance to reduce health risks; At the same time, the outbreak of the epidemic makes the new citizens pay more attention to their own health problems.Government subsidies not only alleviate the economic pressure of the new citizens to buy health insurance, but also stimulate their inherent insurance needs. Finally, the corresponding suggestions are put forward from four angles: new citizens, government, insurance companies and enterprises: new citizens should increase their awareness of health insurance;Insurance companies should increase product innovation for new citizens and upgrade their products and services; The government should build a sound legal and regulatory system, strengthen the role of trade unions to protect the rights and interests of new citizens’ employees, and increase subsidies to ease the burden of new citizens’ purchasing health insurance; For enterprises, they should assume their own social responsibilities, improve the salary calculation method, and effectively protect the rights and interests of new citizens. |
