| Objective:The aim of this study was to observe the clinical efficacy of the formula of tonic deficiency and clearing heat in patients with exogenous hyperthyroidism after thyroid cancer resection for a period of 6 weeks, and to evaluate the therapeutic effect and safety of the formula of tonic deficiency and clearing heat in the treatment of exogenous hyperthyroidism after thyroid cancer resection, with a view to providing reference and research ideas for the treatment of patients with exogenous hyperthyroidism after thyroid cancer resection. Methods:This is a randomized controlled clinical study conducted in the Department of Surgery Ⅱ of the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine.20 patients in the treatment group and 20 patients in the control group were each treated with Eugenol dosage determined according to serological tests and TSH suppression targets before treatment, and Eugenol combined with the formula for tonic deficiency and clearing heat was given to the treatment group, while Eugenol combined with hyperthyroidism tablets was given to the control group for 3 weeks as a course of treatment.2 courses of treatment were given to compare patients in both groups The differences in the general data before treatment, the TCM syndrome score, thyroid function index, quality of life assessment(SF-36),anxiety state assessment(SAS)and sleep quality assessment(PSQI)between the two groups were compared.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software.Results:1 General data:There was no significant difference in the comparison of gender, age, duration of illness, weight, blood pressure, respiration and pulse rate between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),which could be compared.2Total efficacy of TCM symptoms:85%total effective rate in the treatment group and 65%total effective rate in the control group.3Total TCM evidence score:There was a highly significant difference in the total TCM evidence score between the two groups compared to the pre-treatment period(P<0.01).There was a highly significant difference(P<0.01)between the two groups of patients in comparing the total TCM evidence points after treatment, and the treatment group was better than the control group.4Single symptom scores:compared to before treatment, there was a significant difference in the single symptom scores of the control group:dry mouth and throat, irritability, swollen eyes with many tears, fever, fatigue, weakness and heat in the hands and feet(P<0.01);there was a significant difference in sweating, overeating, emaciation, trembling fingers, weakness in the waist and knees, tinnitus and forgetfulness(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in palpitations, restlessness, little sleep and dreaminess, dizziness and lightheadedness(P>0.05).0.05).In the treatment group, there was a significant difference(P<0.05)in the single symptom score compared with that before treatment:dizziness and dizziness. The rest of the symptoms showed highly significant differences(P<0.01)5Laboratory tests:compared with the pre-treatment period, there was no significant difference in FT3 and FT4 levels between the two groups(P>0.05);there was no significant difference in TSH levels between the control group(P>0.05);there was a significant difference in TSH levels between the treatment group(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.6Sleep quality assessment(PSQI):compared with the pre-treatment period, there was a highly significant difference in the sleep quality assessment(PSQI)between the two groups(P<0.01).There was a significant difference(P<0.05)in the post-treatment sleep quality assessment(PSQI)between the two groups, with the treatment group outperforming the control group.7Quality of life assessment(SF-36):There was a significant difference(P<0.05)in the quality of life assessment(SF-36)of patients in the control group and a highly significant difference(P<0.01)in the quality of life assessment(SF-3 6)of patients in the treatment group when compared to the pre-treatment period. There was a highly significant difference(P<0.01)in the post-treatment quality of life assessment(SF-3 6)between the two groups, with the treatment group outperforming the control group.8 Anxiety state assessment(S AS):Compared with the pre-treatment period, there was a significant difference in the anxiety state assessment(SAS)in the control group(P<0.05)and a highly significant difference in the anxiety state assessment(SAS)in the treatment group(P<0.01).There was a significant difference in the post-treatment anxiety state assessment(S AS)between the two groups(P<0.05),with the treatment group outperforming the control group.9Safety evaluation:no significant abnormalities were found in blood routine, liver function and kidney function after treatment, and there were no significant adverse reactions after taking Chinese medicine.Conclusion:1 Tonic Deficiency and Clear Heat Formula was used safely and reasonably during the study.2Tonic Deficiency and Clear Heat Formula has obvious efficacy in patients with exogenous hyperthyroidism after thyroid cancer resection, improving the patients’ TCM symptoms, improving their sleep and quality of life, and reducing their anxiety state. |
