High Expression Of DEPDC1B Predicts Poor Prognosis In Lung Adenocarcinoma | Posted on:2024-08-05 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:P L Li | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2544307082468024 | Subject:Internal medicine (respiratory disease) | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Purpose:Lung cancer is one of the malignant tumors with the highest morbidity and mortality in the world.Non small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)is the most common type of lung cancer.NSCLC is also divided into lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)and lung squamous cell carcinoma(LUSC).DEP domain-containing 1 B(DEPDC1B)is involved in the development of several cancers;however,its role in NSCLC is unknown.Therefore,we aimed to determine the biological function and prognostic value of DEPDC1 B in LUAD.Methods:We analyzed the correlation between DEPDC1 B expression and the clinical features of LUAD and lung squamous cell carcinoma(LUSC)by The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA).Survival was evaluated by generating Kaplan–Meier curves,which were used to analyze the relationship between DEPDC1 B expression and prognosis in LUAD and LUSC.DEPDC1 B expression in tumor and normal tissues from patients with LUAD and LUSC was determined using immunohistochemistry,and its clinical significance was analyzed.Finally,the correlation between the expression of DEPDC1 B in LUAD and its biological function was studied by enrichment analysis.The relationship between DEPDC1 B level and immune cell infiltration was studied by immunoinfiltration analysis.Results:Our findings revealed that DEPDC1 B expression was higher in tumor tissues than that in normal tissues from patients with LUAD and LUSC(P < 0.001).These results were confirmed in clinical samples from patients using immunohistochemistry.Analysis of a dataset from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)showed that high DEPDC1 B expression was associated with poor prognosis only in patients with LUAD(P < 0.001).Similarly,high DEPDC1 B expression was related to shorter overall survival(OS)and progression free survival(PFS)in patients with LUAD.These associations were not observed in LUSC.Functional enrichment analysis suggested that DEPDC1 B promoted tumor development in LUAD by regulating the cell cycle.Immunoinfiltration analysis showed that DEPDC1 B level was correlated with immune cell infiltration.Conclusion:High DEPDC1 B expression predicts poor prognosis in patients with LUAD.Thus,DEPDC1 B has potential as a therapeutic target for LUAD. | Keywords/Search Tags: | DEP domain-containing 1B, lung adenocarcinoma, prognosis, immunohistochemistry, bioinformatics | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
