| Objective:To explore the clinical curative effect and safety of Intense Pulsed Light(IPL)united with mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream in the treatment of post-acne erythema and hyperpigmentation. Methods:Sixty patients diagnosed with post-acne erythema and hyperpigmentation from September 2021 to November 2022 in the Dermatology department of Chengde Central Hospital were included as research objects.According to the method of random number table, the patients were divided into three groups:A,B and C.Group A was treated with intense pulse light only, group B was treated with mucopolysaccharide polysulfonate cream, and group C was treated with intense pulse light combined with mucopolysaccharide polysulfonate cream. All three groups were treated for 16 weeks. The clinical efficacy, the speed of rash resolution, the occurrence of adverse reactions and the improvement of the quality of life of the subjects in the three groups were compared.SPSS 26.0 software was used for statistical analysis of relevant data. Results:A total of 60 patients were included in this study, with 6 cases of shedding and 54 effective cases.1.There was no significant difference in the general information of patients, such as gender, age, course of disease, skin type,T0 rash scores before treatment and DLQI scores(P>0.05),indicating that the three groups were comparable.2.Efficacy assessment of the three groups:T1(before the 2nd treatment),no statistically significant difference in rash scores among the three groups(F=0.608,P=0.549);T2(before the 3rd treatment),no statistically significant difference in rash scores among the three groups(F=0.054,P=0.948);T3(before the 4th treatment),no statistically significant difference in rash scores among the three groups(F=1.541,P=0.224);T4(one month after the 4th treatment),the rash points in group A(51.00±22.84),group B(69.33±32.37)and group C(30.11±13.15)were analyzed, and the difference was statistically significant(F=11.937,P<0.05).Pairwise comparison showed statistically significant difference(P<0.05).When T4and T0 were compared after treatment, the difference of rash points d1(62.44±25.10)in group A,d2(28.94±7.21)in group B and d3(92.89±38.02)in group C.The difference in rash points between the three groups was statistically significant(F=25.962,P<0.05),and the rash regressed fastest in group C.3.Comparison of the efficiency of the three groups:after the end of treatment, the efficiency of group A was 66.67%,the efficiency of group B was 22.22%,and the effective rate of group C was 94.44%,efficient statistically significant difference between three groups(X~2=20.104,P<0.001),and theX~2partitioning method was used for pairwise comparison, the efficiency rate of group A and group B statistically significant differences(X~2=7.200,P=0.007),the efficiency rate of group A and group C differences statistically significant(X~2=4.433,P=0.035),and the difference between group B and group C was statistically significant(X~2=19.314,P<0.001),with the best clinical improvement in group C.4.Comparison of adverse reactions:Adverse reactions include pain, increased erythema and discoloration, crusting, etc. There were no serious adverse reactions during treatment in the three groups. The incidence of adverse reactions was 22.22%in group A,27.78%in group B,and 11.11%in group C.Overall incidence of adverse reactions compared three groups,no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).5.Comparison of DLQI scores:after four treatments, the DLQI scores in group A(6.56±3.22),group B(9.50±4.38)and group C(3.44±2.20)were statistically significant(F=14.38,P<0.001).After pairwise comparison, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and group C had the most significant effect in reducing DLQI scores. Conclusions:Intense pulsed light combined with mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream is effective in treating post-acne erythema and hyperpigmentation with high safety and can significantly improve patients’quality of life, which is suitable for clinical application. |
