Cultural identity usually refers to a person or group’s recognition and acceptance of their cultural identity and cultural values.It is an important aspect of people’s self-knowledge and social identity.have far-reaching effects.Cross-cultural identity refers to the degree of identification and acceptance of one’s own cultural background and other cultural backgrounds in life,work or social environments.Traditional Chinese medicine culture is a part of the core value of Chinese culture,a part that embodies the sense of national identity and belonging,and is the essence of our traditional Chinese culture.From the perspective of cultural identity theory,this study selects the United States,one of the countries in the world that have implemented TCM legislation,and takes New York State as the specific research object,collects and sorts out relevant literature on the spread of TCM culture in the United States,and analyzes the Chinese medicine culture in New York State.Investigate and analyze the development and current situation of medical culture.The first chapter mainly explains the concept of cultural identity and Chinese medicine cultural identity.The second chapter mainly investigates and analyzes the diversified cultural background of the United States and the history of the spread of Chinese medicine culture in the United States,thus summarizing the development of traditional Chinese medicine.As well as the difficulties and important achievements encountered in the dissemination of different historical periods,as well as the evolution and current status of Chinese medicine culture under the influence of the multicultural background of the United States.The third chapter focuses on the current situation and management of TCM physician registration in New York State,the items and target audiences of TCM included in American insurance,the evolution of TCM and its application in cosmetology and TCM education as research objects,and sorts out the development of TCM In the process of investigation and conclusion,the following conclusions were drawn: since the introduction of Chinese medicine to the United States,great development has been achieved.For example,the registration of Chinese medicine doctors in New York State requires strict study and examination,and the proportion of whites among Chinese medicine practitioners has increased year by year.Traditional Chinese medicine is used in beauty programs and so on in addition to being based on curing diseases.Due to the differences between Chinese and Western cultures,there are many problems in the rapid development of Chinese medicine,such as the number of teachers and educational resources of Chinese medicine education compared with Western medicine.In addition,the training and certification standards for Chinese medicine practitioners also need to be further improved.For reports on traditional Chinese medicine,Chinese and foreign media are also a little underwhelming.Based on the empirical analysis in the third chapter,some suggestions for the development of TCM culture are summarized: strengthen the communication and publicity of TCM culture,promote foreign Chinese teaching and TCM research and education,enhance cultural self-confidence,and expand the publicity platform.To sum up,discussing the dissemination and status quo of American Chinese medicine culture,in order to improve the recognition of Chinese medicine culture,not only promote the spread of American Chinese medicine culture,but also provide a reference for the global development of Chinese medicine.
