Objective: This study aims to observe the clinical efficacy of Taohong siwu decoction combined with CCS compound compression system in the treatment of femoral neck fractures in young and middle-aged patients,to evaluate its safety and efficacy, and to make a useful addition to the treatment plan of Chinese and Western medicine for femoral neck fractures in young and middleaged patients in clinical practice. Methods: Patients in the treatment group were started to take Taohong siwu decoction(stopped 12 h before surgery)upon admission, and were given fluids, prevention of preoperative infection, pain relief, swelling and prevention of deep venous thrombosis(DVT)in the lower limbs for 14 days after surgery and other routine treatments. The control group was not given Taohong siwu decoction, and the rest were the same as the treatment group.Laboratory data included three indicators of anemia, namely,Hemoglobin(HGB),Hematocrit(HCT),Red blood cell count(RBC),and three indicators of coagulation,namely,D-dimmer(D-D),activated partial prothrombin time(APTT),and prothrombin time(PT),as well as clinical observations including postoperative hip Harris score, fracture healing time and complications, and postoperative VAS score,DVT formation in lower limbs, etc. The data were statistically analyzed by SPSS25.0 software. This was used to determine the clinical efficacy of Taohong siwu decoction on femoral neck fractures in young and middle-aged people. Results: 1.The basic data of the two groups, including gender, age, fracture subtype, and site of the affected limb were compared, and the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the data were comparable. Both groups were not dislodged.2.In terms of laboratory data, the HCT,HGB,and RBC counts of the two groups on the first postoperative day were significantly lower than those before surgery, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);when measured again on the seventh and fourteenth postoperative days, the three values of anemia in both groups were higher than those on the first day.The efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group at the same time point, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The D-D of both groups increased on postoperative day 1,and the APTT and PT values decreased compared with those before surgery, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);when measured again on postoperative days 7 and 14,the APTT and PT values of both groups increased compared with those on day 1,and the D-D values decreased, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);at the same time point The efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group in the comparison between groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.In terms of clinical efficacy observation, the VAS score increased on the first postoperative day and decreased on the seventh and fourteenth postoperative days, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);the pain relief effect of the treatment group was slightly better than that of the control group when compared between groups at the same time, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the overall fracture healing(P>0.05),but there was a significant difference in the healing time(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group in the mean healing time. There was no significant difference in femoral head necrosis between the two groups(P>0.05).In terms of Harris functional score, the treatment group had better results than the control group in terms of hip function gain after six months, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).14 days after retesting the lower limb venous ultrasound, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of the probability of DVT in the lower limb, which was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion: The treatment of femoral neck fractures in young and middle-aged people with Taohong siwu decoction combined with CCS internal fixation showed no adverse effects in this study, and the results were safe and effective. It was effective in improving anemia and coagulation function, promoting fracture healing, reducing patient pain to a certain extent, and had good efficacy in enhancing postoperative hip function, but the efficacy in preventing complications such as the occurrence of postoperative DVT in the lower extremity, postoperative osteonecrosis and femoral head necrosis remains to be observed. The incidence of femoral neck fracture in young and middle-aged people is increasing, and Chinese medicine has a good auxiliary effect on improving the postoperative disease of femoral neck fracture, and the combined application of Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of femoral neck fracture is promising and worth promoting in clinical.
