Objective:Observe the clinical efficacy of Du-moxibustion therapy in the treatment of simple obesity with spleen deficiency and dampness resistance syndrome, and evaluate the effectiveness and safety,to provide clinical basis for Du-moxibustion therapy in treating simple obesity. Methods:Taking simple obesity patients with spleen deficiency and dampness resistance syndrome as the research objects,66 patients meeting the criteria were randomly divided into observation group(33 cases)and control group(33 cases),respectively receiving treatment of Du-moxibustion treatment or acupuncture therapy for 8 weeks. The changes of body weight, body mass index(BMI),waist circumference(WC),body fat rate(F%)and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores of the two groups were observed before and after treatment, and the clinical efficacy and safety of the treatment of simple obesity with spleen deficiency and dampness resistance syndrome was evaluated. Results:According to the criteria of elimination, shedding and discontinuation,63 patients were actually included, including 32 in the observation group and 31 in the control group.1.Indicators related to obesity:After treatment, the body weight,BMI,WC and body fat rate of patients in the two groups decreased significantly compared with those before treatment, and there were statistical differences(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in body weight,BMI and WC between the two groups(P>0.05)after treatment, but the Du-moxibustion therapy group was superior to the acupuncture therapy group in reducing body fat rate(P<0.05).2.TCM syndrome scores:After treatment, the individual scores and total score of TCM syndrome in the two groups were decreased compared with those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The Du-moxibustion therapy group was better than the group treating in acupuncture therapy in improving the symptoms of fatigue and weakness, heavy limbs, anorexia, loose and thin stool and reducing total scores after treatment, there were statistical differences(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in edema, abdominal fullness and distention and oliguria(P>0.05).3.TCM syndrome effect:After treatment,31 patients(96.88%)in the Du-moxibustion therapy group were effectively improved, while 26 patients(83.87%)in the control group were effectively improved, with statistical significance between the two groups(P<0.05).4.Disease efficacy:After treatment, there were 14 cases of obvious effect,14 cases of effective,4 cases of ineffective in the Du-moxibustion therapy group, and the total effective rate was 87.50%.There were 11 cases of obvious effect,15 cases of effective,5 cases of ineffective in the acupuncture therapy group, and the total effective rate was 83.87%.The difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).5.Safety:During the observation process, the consciousness, pulse, body temperature and other vital signs of the two groups of patients were stable, and there were no adverse reactions or complications, indicating good safety.Conclusion:Du-moxibustion therapy can effectively treat simple obesity of spleen deficiency and damp resistance syndrome, and improve the symptoms of fatigue and weakness, heavy limbs, anorexia, loose and thin stool and the quality of life.It is green, safe, reliable and worth further studying and promoting.
